I come off there each day for work and regularly witness terrible driving. Traffic backs up in the morning and everyone uses the slip road to skip ahead and then force there way back on at the last minute. Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what the BMW was doing further down to be honest.
Yep. As usual with any cam clips, you can't really get a sense of how close this was or the speed involved etc. It's a wide vehicle, obviously, with the cam low down in the middle of the screen.

I grimaced as they darted through as I was sure we were about to make contact. I had just started speeding up and was looking in the left hand mirror when this happened so had no time to react or do anything.

As you can see they then crossed the solid line and shot up the arse of the van.

Nothing too exciting of course, but then if you can post a picture of a car in a field in such a thread, it clearly doesn't all have to be about fireballs and death, does it?

Last guy in the orange doesn't imo. He goes through on the flashing yellow. (the pedestrians are virtually to the pavement) And no one had to move in any way. So another self appointed dashcam hero. Out there pointing out minor flaws but I notice he did actively try to block the bus on the left so that's OK. laugh

Why does the video uploader make no mention of the Toyota (?) sat straddling two lanes with his left blinker on? Each of those lanes is big enough for a double-decker bus or a lorry. For me, that is the stand-out fkwittery in this video.

laugh

Probably because that's a car. And old Digby here only worries about the handful of cyclists. I mean he actually pressed the "save clip" button when he saw the bike jump the lights. I presume he hates BMW drivers with the same passion. So only uploads transgressions of those who fit his dislike biggrin You reckon he'll post videos of HGVs doing the classic block 2 lanes of a motorway overtake?

Because they were about to use that lane and turn left further on but could clearly see all the cyclists approaching and passing on the inside so didn't move at that point and then realised the bus lane continues only a short distance up the road anyway, so went back into my lane.

It didn't register for me because it was quite obvious on the day.

You seem to have ignored absolutely everything you were wrong about and are wrong yet again, so is there really any point continuing?

If you want to address all the points you got wrong, feel free, otherwise I can't see much point in replying to anything else.

You'll have to find someone else to get your 'fix' from, it won't work on me. beer

Start this programme at 46seconds, and I think the cyclists have made it a bit awkward for themselves by being filmed going straight through the "Stop" without stopping, whilst at the same time complaining that car drivers are doing exactly that.

They are pointing out that people have been killed by cars shooting through the junction, but you're taking offence that cyclists have only slowed to 1mph and put their foot down before going?

The confusing thing is you thought that was worthy of posting.

This weeks burnt offerings

UK Dash Cameras - Compilation 2 - 2020 Bad Drivers, Crashes + Close Calls

The first clip the clues are there, if everything in lanes 1 and 2 are braking, chances are, lane 3 will also be stationary.

This is why I leave a massive gap of several car lengths when stationary on the motorway, and continue to do so even when there's several cars behind. Had that been an HGV, the 2 VW's and whatever it was on the end (audi possibly) would have been mangled.

Leave a gap, pay attention to the rear view mirror.

<edit> @09:20 how often do you see a Frontera? Thought they'd all burst in to flames by now....

1:19 sure that’s been on before the mokka pretends to pull off on the slip road then darts back on and disappears.

First clip his reactions were terrible. As were his brakes and tyres.

1.35 the cyclist getting wiped out. Again cars just drive around.

As per usual numerous clips where the DCW could have easily backed out or braked about 10 seconds ahead of when they did. No they'll just charge in and make an incident.

4.50- biker falls off on icy road at around 50mph. DCW drives around him and leaves. And then has the effrontery to call biker a dhead on the video. Pretty obvious who the dhead is there.

The 3 series appeared to roll straight through the stop line much quicker than any of the cyclists, but let's have a go at the vulnerable road user just because it's easier. rolleyes

The biker should have been more aware than anyone else on the road that it was icy and they should maybe slow down.
That being said, the DCW was a massive dhead for not stopping to help, they should be ashamed.

why is this DCW behaviour becoming acceptable?

Their cameras also pick up on everyone else just driving on past too.

It does annoy me when a DCW captures an accident and they just drive off. Even just minor bumps to offer the victim evidence just to make sure there is no insurance issues.
