I’m a better driver than most other idiots on the road dawdling around.... I don’t know about you but I would rather be driving behind a Subaru driving to the NSL and not behind idiots breaking every 5 seconds doing 30 or 40 (or less in many instances) unable to overtake $hit

Thanks for the videos Eric, we all have a lot to learn from drivers like you.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7FU1AI52Qc

Have you ever thought of providing educational videos with talk over, explaining the finer points of road craft you practise.
I am sure they would be a great success for lesser drivers like myself, and we would be grateful for some unbiased expert advice to make us all safer drivers.
Once again thanks for posting and keep them coming.
Oh and if you were to reable the no comment thingy we could also benefit from a very constructive discussion about the nuances and finer points of your well established driving techniques.
Thanks, best
Extremely rare cars aside, I think some of the high end wafters seem to do just that, waft along in a relaxed manner. It's rare to see the likes of an S Class or 7 Series bullying people along motorways for example.
It's funny as often it's the powerful, high end motors that seem to take it easy by contrast you'll see a bottom of the range 1 Series hammering it around!

top tip -- drive to the NSL - its actually 60mph would you believe on single carriage waysHave you ever thought of providing educational videos with talk over, explaining the finer points of road craft you practise.

Just another point you can maybe help me with, how long can I stay in the "outside" ( not sure if that's the correct terminology) lane on a dual carriageway before I need to return to the "inside?" lane again?

Second clip of second video (somehow I managed to stay awake during the whole thing), what on earth is dangling from your windscreen, right in your field of vision? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7FU1AI52Qc

On topic, Alfas generally (though I am biased...), Astons when you do see them, larger luxury saloons (7 series, S Class, LS etc) tend to just waft about briskly without really getting in anyone’s way, MGs and Rovers more recently and I honestly can’t recall seeing a badly driven Jag. Eric aside, I think Subarus are pretty well driven, all the chavs have moved to DSG farting VAG stuff so it’s mainly enthusiasts and country folk who actually make use of the AWD that tend to have them in my experience.
As for the opposite, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a car with chavvy mods (stretched tyres, ridiculous camber, shag all ground clearance and horrendous stickers) being driven well...
