I always park out of the way in a car park, there are hundreds of empty spaces and I park where no one else parks. Yesterday I was in tescos, it was early and empty and mostly every space was empty, I come out and someone has parked next to me.

I can’t tell you how angry I was, does anyone else hate when people do this?

To make matters worse I watched them getting out of their car and they were leaning their Zimmer frame against my car, they could have just gone in a disabled bay! I’ve looked and checked their Zimmer frame never left any damage and I’ve found a small dent, could this have been caused by their Zimmer frame?

I never had a go at them although I easily could have, but some people are just a joke.

They don’t like the idea of their cars being lonely.

This is the most pathetic thing I've ever read. Please, PLEASE let it be a joke.

'I can't tell you how angry I was...' Mate, you need to chill. It's a car. In a car park. Other people are odd. Fact.

I think some people just can’t resist being near a Mokka when they see one in the flesh. Probably used it as a photo prop for their insta / FB.

Annoying for you though no doubt.

Yes mate totally agree! I do the exact same thing, and what do you know- you return to your car and some rust bucket is parked right beside you, why do people do this? Even getting the train, I like my own space so I sit out the way, totally empty carriage and someone wants to come sit right next to me disturbing my peace, what’s up with people

As a shed driver, parking next to a pride and joy at the back of the car park is great fun. Polo is said to be the sport of Kings, well parking a shed next to a lone nice car is the sport of shedding.

Obviously meticulous care has to be taken not to cause any harm, but it is even funnier if said gleaming pride and joy has been parked badly and too close to the white line and you park your shed perfectly but create a very narrow gap.

On rare occasions you can be lucky enough to witness their return to said pride and joy and watch them get all huffy and puffy.

I get this all the time. I've always assumed that some people find it easier to park with another car to help them align to a space, rather than the white lines on the ground.

I know someone who did this parking next to another car in an otherwise empty car park and asked her why, the response was that 'it is easier to park with another car to line up with'. So, she can't park in a space without another vehicle next to her to use as a reference.

Dad's-net gold right here!

Can't wait for the tabloid journalist who needs to write a pithy column for the weekend magazine section one day & digs this out...

"Pistonheads is the UK's most used car forum, here are some examples:
Someone parked next to me in a car park 'it makes me so angry' says the man.
Aren't men all stupid..."

However, I do agree with you, it is annoying when you try to protect your car from damage & it doesn't work out.

I proudly park my car in 2 spaces, no fks given! People are careless and drive about in rentals what do they care.

You'd think everyone would know that parking spaces operate on the urinal rules - don't use one next to someone else unless there's absolutely no choice, and certainly don't make physical contact of any form.

Far too obvious. If you're going to seek reactions/troll you need to try and be more subtle.

Chris Harris has rather a nice little rant on this topic on Instagram, where someone has parked an absolute heap next to his gleaming yellow Porsche in an otherwise empty car park.

Had enough dents on previous cars doors to justify my actions, I respect someone else’s space and property- problem is other people don’t.

No one with a bright yellow Porsche is going to open their door into the side of my slightly shabby old Honda, so its the safest place to park smile

This for me, no reverse cam, so knowing if I'm too far forwards or backwards is easier if there's another car.

I don't go out of my way to park next to someone, but if there is someone nearby, I will.
