What did you buy, where from and why? If you've got a Readers' Car thread or intend to start one, let us know here too for those of us interested in following.
I'll start – picked up a lovely BMW 130i M Sport LCI on the weekend, 3.0-litre straight six, 262hp. I've been keeping an eye on the classifieds here and this one popped up from simonpa who's been a member on PH for 20 years. 55K miles and standard other than the popular 135i back box swap.
I'm expecting my first baby so need something a bit more practical than the TTRS – seems like a good compromise! I may write about it on PH Fleet, otherwise will come back and update with a Readers' Car thread. Quick pic for now

Ohh, I can play this, I just bought this (unseen) yesterday for a bit of summer fun. (if we get a summer)
63k miles, 2.0t, 2 owners with the first being Volvo as a demonstrator.
Looks good for 900 quid.
That is fantastic for £900, unbelievable what you can get for not a lot of money, that would have been a pretyt expensive car new, and it still looks pretty much new.63k miles, 2.0t, 2 owners with the first being Volvo as a demonstrator.

I have been looking for a first car for my daughter. We tried a few different small hatchbacks and it was the 107/C1/Aygo which she liked and driving it made me smile. A lot of fun with the revvy 3 cylinder.
Bought her one like this, but it is stashed in the garage for a few more weeks:

Picked this up a couple of weeks ago. 2014, 5 door Swift Sport with 49k on the clock. Replacing a Panda 100HP and Citroen C2, neither of which were much fun on a longer journey.
Bought privately for a decent sum on the understanding that it needs a service (now done) and front tyres.
It's a hoot to drive and has already served us well on a tiring journey down to (and around) South East London this weekend.
Now I really must get around to listing the Panda on the PH classifieds...

We had one for 8 years for the kids to learn in, brilliant at what they do and very hard wearing considering they are built to a price, always enjoyed driving ours as can park/leave it anywhere, great on fuel and even manages to be quite good fun. I reckon they are cheaper to run than riding a pedal bike.Bought her one like this, but it is stashed in the garage for a few more weeks:
I bought this to replace my W211 E320. Big step up in comfort and wafting ability.
In pictures the size of the thing isn't so apparent but considering I'm tall-ish and never found my E Class small, this dwarfs it in terms of width and height. I suspect it'll dwarf it in terms of repair costs too but we shall see...

Bought this last July, had a bit of fun in it before the winter arrived, now it comes out once every few weeks to keep the battery alive, and the occasional journey is the weekend weather is going to be nice. Can't wait for spring summer to arrive.
Bought it because I saw one in a showroom 3 years ago or so, fell in love with it and when this one came up I had to have it, knowing how rarely they come up in the UK in this spec

Awesome, what size is the engine in that?

Maserati GranTurismo 4.2. Sounds fantastic, can’t stop looking at it, and so comfy. Taking it to Europe this year.
Hopelessly in love with it already.
What's your plan in Europe? Now I've got my car (above your post) and it's LHD, it seems like a perfect idea to do a road trip to Europe, but having never done anything like that I have no idea what people do/where they go! Snap!
I bought this from a well know auction site after to much wine for a bit of summer fun!! Its a T5 Collection spec C70. 3 Owners, the first a Volvo dealer with 72K on the clock and full history.
I wait to see what breaks !! The electric aerial is the only casualty so far!!
I've heard the scuttle shake on them is quite bad.
A universal electric aerial would be the cheap answer to your problem, getting into get it replaced might be tricky though.

Very nice! That was my alternative choice actually. Definitely would have been the cheaper option to run but the extra toys on the 130i and desire for more cylinders won in the end Should be a great car though, I enjoyed driving the Swift Sport when we had one on the PH Fleet.Bought privately for a decent sum on the understanding that it needs a service (now done) and front tyres.

Reims, Colmar, Lake Como, Stuttgart and Bruges. Just wish France wasn’t so big and boring compared to the delight that is Italy!
