Great photo, looks like an official press shot
I had a Lotus Carlton for three years and wanted something different, so decided to sell the LC and move onwards and upwards and in the space of a week i had advertised the LC, sold it and bought the Vantage. Its a V12 Vantage S with 565bhp 9k miles on the clock, lightweight wheels and seats and a Q colour too.phumy said:

My friend picked up a relatively fresh import Crown before Christmas. Tremendous car but smaller inside than I thought they would be! I can confirm that they shift, too. Kept fairly close to my tuned 335i whilst having a wee play.
It is a lovely machine and I can backup that they shift surprisingly well, I was thinking that it was going to be a wobbly mess but other than numb steering it is very good a covering ground. Can't comment on the size really but it's bigger than my previous S-type and fits four in comfort - mine has the stereo controls in the rear armrest too
After deciding to go down to a 2 car household to be sensible, and literally selling the main family car 2 hours before, I got informed that my job circumstances would mean I would be commuting half way around the M25 on a regular basis.
Didn't want to put the miles up on my 2003 Alpina B3S, or run up the miles on my wife's 2018 Golf GTI so the quest for a sensible commuting car which would be comfortable and have active cruise was on. Looked at various things, but then this turned up in North Yorkshire:
Alpina D3 BiTurbo. Ok it's a diesel, but it's pretty punchy (345bhp, 700Nm, 4.6 sec dash, 170 mph+), and (if you are sensible) will do about 50mpg. It's awesome and a great all rounder, though I have to be careful around cold tyres....
Of course job circumstances have changed again, so technically I don't need it, but I shall be keeping it anyway :-)
Oh, and then we had a mad moment and bought my wife a Nissan Figaro (she has always wanted one), so I've gone from 3 cars to 2 cars to 4 cars... That wasn't the plan....

I'm looking for one of these at the moment, but the non-S model, 6 speed. How are you finding your 7 speed one so far?Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
