Yep and looks like the first IS road legal (questioned above). Not sure this actually warranted an article in the tone it's been written. The ACTUAL story should be about a Russian guy who has ordered 5 Huayras in 'mental' spec, rather than the implication that this is somehow a limited run model that Pagani put out to the world.
There's one so far (Owned by different people) in;

So 5 million for a track version of a supercar by the looks of it. Out of interest if you wanted the ultimate track day toy, and you had a spare 5 million down the back of the sofa what would it cost to get your hands on a 962 customer car or a dauer lm? They traded for approx £1m in 2016.
Or maybe something more modern. Panoz / Merc gt1 car? If you had £3m change I would suspect these would be far more enjoyable track hacks.

I have huge respect for Horacio Pagani for what he has done since the late 1990's,especially when so many other manufacturers have tried and failed to live in such a rarefied world with established players like Ferrari etc.

The still stunning Zonda is very hard to improve on and I dont think the Huyara could get near it in the looks department.

But I think Pagani have been going down a road with ever more mad looking and intricate details in their cars and it sort of feels like sticking your head in a room full of blingy disco balls.

It's just too much to my eyes but then again there is no danger of someone like me ever being a customer so its obviously wanted and desired by their clientele.
They just need to dial the details for details sake back a bit and stop trying so hard to show off their undoubted expertise in carbon fibre.

Blingy it may be, but to me it just looks old.

A moment? What do you mean?
Either crapped himself or he is a connoisseur of Pipe tobacco.

Not for me, the Huayra looks dreadful, almost Bertone Mantide disgusting assuming car manufacturers have gotten bored with naming track models after the ring? Can't wait for the MG 3 Castle Combe edition

I think Pagini may have disappeared up their own tailpipe.

Maybe my memory is at fault but when the Zonda came out it was expensive but still vaguely affordable - something like twice the price of an equivalent Ferrari. Now their offerings seem to be ten times or more. And they don’t look as good as the Zonda and don’t have that NA engine. I’m sure they are laughing all the way to the bank but I miss the times when the Zonda actually appeared in group tests in magazines.
I wonder if they were actually making real money in the early days though? I have previous experience of a completely different sector of retail but it wasn’t uncommon for new players to bring products to market at cost price in order to give themselves the best chance of gaining custom and then once they were established, and folks were on board, they could then raise their prices in order to make a living.

Visually very ‘busy’. Probably quite the vehicle, nonetheless.

Pretty sure there's a few people on here who could...

Anyhow yet another pagani, doesn't look like they've moved the game on at all but I guess it gets 5 cars shifted. I like them but why would I buy this over an early one.

The Huayra, as functional as it might be, is still one of the ugliest cars ever produced. The Imola variant simply burns my eyes. Give me a Zonda F or Cinque any day of the week.

For me, the excitement of Pagani peaked somewhere between the Zonda F and the Cinque and went downhill from there.

the zonda will be much nicer to drive than the 962 on track for an ordinary person and the road converted versions are abosolutely awful - the gearbox is horrible

but deffo agree there are objectively better track cars for that price

I think it looks great but I would have the Zonda F.

Where have people got this 5 million price tag from. The article says 5 millionaires have reserved them?

The original Huayra design was never my cup of tea, but I would never call it a bad design. This one on the other hand just looks cheap and oldfashioned and bad. Not bad in a good way like the Senna, but just no good at all.

At a time when every premium sports car manufacturer is knocking out ultra exclusive, seriously expensive and mostly track orientated kit, this type of news just gets lost lost on me.
