Well I track my FK2 and in summer it gets fecking hot with the work rate, heat soak from the engine and sun through the windscreen. OK you can open the widows but that sort of defeats the object of the exercise. I'd not enjoy it without a/c.Seems a step too far to me. Can it be added back?
Neither of these would tempt me out of my standard CW FK8 so a bit of a result for me, the 20s get a lot of bad press but they give a remarkably good ride (most reviews say the same)
I love the car for its originality, its just bonkers! the black seats, smaller wheels and wing just water it down a bit and I think there are many good boring hot hatch options if blending in is important to you

It’s actually quite noisey, the noise you hear is all natural and the noise turns heads before people have even seen it come by. I guess it definitely will sound bland compared to the 3.0 6 but so will everything else.So glad they’ve finally done it. Don’t mind the piped in sound either as the engine sounds a bit bland.
Finally got something to change to from my m140
It’s a lot louder than a Golf R, the only thing it lacks is the exhaust pops and crackles, which is a shame as I did miss them on my one. It would have been nice if it had them in the sport mode like M140i’s.
To anybody wondering if they sound any good, do not judge how they sound by using a speaker or headphones. I liked how mine sounded especially when bouncing on the limiter in first before changing.

If I still had mine, I wouldn’t be tempted either, they could do with some LED rear lights specific to the model, mine looked too similar to standard ones at night from the rear. The wheels, hmm the ride was fine but it the thing that irritated me the most is dodging potholes and curbing them so easily with the low profile, you could get a chip on the rim just by hitting the pothole.
I would be tempted into another one if they sorted the turning circle, made the rear lights more modern and made pops and crackles like Golf R’s do on the over run but it wouldn’t be for a while, I waited until they dropped to 24 before I bought one.

No real problems other than them being curbed. It handles very well, it’s not crashy and it doesn’t bounce around. My 4 Series before it on 19 inch with run flats used to bounce around like hell.
The ride on the Civic is ridiculous in R+ mode but I used to drive around everywhere in comfort. Sucks up the bumps nicely. I only put it in R+ mode when I’d take a friend for a blast.

I hear you. My local dealer gave me one for a 48 hour test drive. Loved every minute of it. One of the best cars I’ve driven. 3 things let it down for me 1. Styling too ott for my tastes 2. Road noise on some surfaces particularly the concrete patch on m25 3. The sport line seems to address all 3 of these. I really miss the manual.
My m140 has all the m performance bits including the exhaust and diff. Really like but don’t love it. Was thinking of going for coilovers but this is tempting me away from BMW
