Badly modified cars thread Mk3

So why is it badly modified? Is the welding bad and someone has painted it with rattle cans? Or is it the front Audi-style grille?
The bottom edges of the rear doors are held together by rivets. Do we have to have this argument about everything that gets posted on here? This used to just be a gentle thread where we'd post funny-looking cars and either take the piss out of them or defend them. Over-literal policing based on the thread title is a bit tedious.

could be worse - it could be a bunch of sad-sacks arguing that a car isn't a sleeper because: the rear tyres are .01% wider than standard; because it's been debadged; because it's got a different paint scheme; because they only used the 9J17 rims for 15 minutes on 24th Dec 1988.... But...but...is it badly modified if the owner likes it?!Do we have to have this argument about everything that gets posted on here? It's horrific in every conceivable way.
Although to their credit at least they put a Q plate on it rather than leaving it as an audi a4.

It's not really a cage. It appears to be a custom tube chassis with half a van body on top, and I guess Audi mechanicals.
Yep it has an a4 dashboard so I’d suspect it’s the entire chassis. Digby said:

That van is easily one of the worse things I've seen.

I can’t help but look at that and think further modding that into a pick-up would be pretty cool.Their other stock is certainly eclectic...
