Interesting in that Nationwide article, there is an expectation of a 5% house price fall by the end of Q3 this year.

That’s significant. Large knock on effect, particularly for those that use property as a cash machine or future pension provider. Negative gearing will be a new experience for millions.
I see that your wishing ill on people knows no bounds. You're not even trying to hide it. Not normal.

If my BTL loses 5% in value it probably won't affect the £ yield so zero impact. I bought it for the long term anyway like most people buying them as a cash machine or pension vehicle or both.

I'm not mis-representing you or shooting the messenger. It IS going to be bad, however not as bad as some of the extreme views that are seen on here, which i quoted. Those views of a post apocalyptic world are not "being realistic"

Everyone is entitled to think its going to be bad. I do, however i'm certainly not gleeful about the prospect and i'm certainly not looking to evidence it by pulling up clickbait headlines or quoting out of context to back that up.
Gleeful? Clickbait? Oh please. On the economic side you've really nothing to say beyond hand waving away the overwhelming weight of evidence, with regular descent into virtue signalling, mocking and shaming tactics.

Have a look at the USA's figures. No govt assistance fed into the system there so the impact has been that much quicker.

I won't quote figures as people here will just argue left, right and centre but they're easily obtainable using search engines.

There is no "evidence" at this stage. Its only views and predictions.

Someone picking out the very worst of them to support their narrative doesnt make them right.

Oh come on man! 1/4 of workers furloughed: FACT. Enormous hit to GDP: FACT. Deepest recession for hundreds of years: FACT. All gleeful cherry picking and catastrophising clickbait though I'm sure.

You're just not credible.

Why are you and TB so gleeful about it though? Because that's how you both come across. It's almost like you are bitter at anyone who has more than you and you want them to suffer. Why?

FACTs of the current situation not EVIDENCE to support your outcome.

And the third one is a PREDICTION, not a FACT.

So let me get this straight then: expressing a different point of view and listing facts to support this makes me gleeful, bitter at anyone better off and wanting them to suffer. Have I got that right?

Flat out busy today, I have no idea where all these people are coming from but we probably took more orders today than any day so far this year.

Talking with several main dealers they have also been very busy. At least 3 Land Rover dealers were to busy to even phone back so back to normal for them. The biggest problem is nobody expected this and most dealerships seem to have limited staff.

In reality I am not counting on this continuing but hopefully it is a positive sign that has individuals and businesses want to keep the tills ringing!

There are plenty of people, particularly pensioners, who have incomes not dependent upon the wider economy.

And plenty of of people not impacted, or impacted positively.

It's called being realistic.
The problem with claiming to know the truth and the reality compared to someone like me who doesn't is that only one of us can be wrong. And by definition, it's not me.

Pointing out that the shutting down of whole sectors of the economy for months on end isn't exactly going to result in us all becoming millionaires
The problem with repeated strawman arguments is that they weaken your... argument.

It's going to be quite tough. No argument.

USA Fed and government has pumped trillions into the response, including helicopter money to everyone.

Why do you think treasuries have shot back up despite the underlying economy being a disaster zone.
