True. Like I said earlier, it will be a good baseline.
Its a baseline thats already out of date as it doesnt include June which was the first month dealers were allowed to open forecourts again.

Yes. Buying trends are all over the place too - not just in car sales.

Nope, it’s a baseline that’s cumulative and progressive. June data won’t have been compiled yet.

Says to me Feb was higher than last year, March was 75% which good as dealers were shut 1/3 of March, April and May, anything is good her.

I would expect the graph to show 150% for June.

Irrespective, its out of date now.

But sure keep referencing it as it supports your narrative.

The source was at the bottom of the graph. FLA actual data, not fake news. Maybe just not data you like too see.
Data makes no real difference to me, maybe it turns you on to think the big world outside your box room is going bad but as far as I am concerned things are going well and I would like to think the same for everybody else.

The economy is in for a bumpy ride but people will get on with it.

Pick any consumer commodity (except food) for the same period and the graph would be exactly the same.

Nope, it’s in date as it’s highlights a cumulative trend. Month on month. Not difficult.

Great then. We can look forward to your positive comments about how that May trend continues to rise strongly in June and how thats great news for the car industry.

I’ll leave it to you and give you the chance to be proactive for once.

It's increasingly looking like all the furlough money, the business grants, even the business interruption loans aren't primarily being used or will be used just for saving peoples jobs and livelihoods and preventing businesses from failing altogether... instead it looks more and more like just another round of directing more cheap/free helicopter money to the usual suspects (feckless spendthrifts, mindless consumers and debt junkies) to spend in our consumer/service economy.

So probably good news for the car dealers on here, whilst the post lockdown flurry of activity won't remain at current levels I really don't see any major credit crunch or reduction in consumer spending in the long run.

Thats exactly it.

People will just get on with it and make the best of it.

Well, normal people will. Some will sit bitterly wishing ill on others rather than getting on with their lives.

Absolutely. A very odd troll who’s 600 odd posts have almost exclusively been in threads about PCP, car dealers and hundreds of posts about the collapse of the car industry. It’s weird how some people choose to spend their time.

Your chance. Be proactive, don’t just default to reacting to other people’s initiatives. Leave the comfort zone.

I am sure I am not the only one to see the irony in that comment.
