As mentioned on here before, I won a B9 RS4 last year on DCG. It was the first time I ever entered and only bought two tickets!

I used the car as a daily for a few weeks before selling it to a local Audi dealership. Was able to negotiate a good price as it had an Audi Exclusive paint job.

As much as I would have loved to have kept the car, I had some reservations about keeping it:

1. I only really have space for two cars at home. Mine is a company car, so was unable to renege on that and hand it back easily.

2. Potential borkage factor and costs associated with running an RS4 (averaged 18mpg).

3. Constantly worrying about damaging the car or having the car stolen

4. I really wanted the cash! Much more useful!

I obviously didn't expect to win, but when you do, reality sets in and you have to keep a very expensive car funded and looked after.

Had a lot of fun for the weeks I kept it though.

Congratulations on the win. I must admit, I enter a few of these competitions each month as a punt but I go for camper vans and family cars the other half would like. Stuff I can afford to keep and would use. I have a 540i on PCP which has another couple of years to run so I'd probably do the same as you with the RS4 and sell it on. I never enter the supercar type stuff as my garage is now my home office and I don't fancy leaving a shiny Lambo on my drive each night.

I've stopped with the silly odds competitions like BOTB and prefer Rev Comps and the like for better odds. Recently, I've started using the much lower odds prize sites for watches and smaller prizes instead of cars as I know a few people who have won on them. Beer club competitions often do luxury watches but only 400 entries, etc.

DCG do seem to have a good supply of "usable" dailies. 335d estates, Q5's, Golf Estates, etc etc.

I do maybe a fiver a week. Yet to get the call.

In reality, I think if I won a say, £20k car. I'd likely sell and buy something for £5k and put the rest towards the house. Boring, I know.

Might have a go on the Rolex again and also the 106 Rallye, not into PUG's but the missus kids dad has got a 106 Rallye so might be able to offload it through him haha.

I limit myself to buying one ticket on pay day... it's still worked out to be a fair bit over the months!

Never won yet, nor anyone I know, but certainly see a lot of people on forums winning. One day!

With 1 ticket a month you're giving yourself the worst possible chance of winning next to not buying any tickets at all.

You'd be better off working out your total spend for 12 months, sticking it all into one raffle to maximise your odds then not playing again for the rest of the year if you lose.

That 106 has sold out fast, bet that will be immense fun.

Only tickets i buy are from a company local to me Bountycompetitions.

They have a whole host of stuff along with some top motors every week and what i feel is a good chance of winning (or better than the likes of BOTB etc). Tickets reasonable priced too around 4.99ish for the cars and always limited to a certain amount. They have a Huracan coming end of the month.

They also have older stuff like Escort Cosworth and such.

My mate won the McLaren they had a couple weeks back but took the cash alternative of £80k and my neighbour won a Type R.

As i put earlier, i won the Cayman S on Monday with Rev Comps.
As the missus is way over excited ( we wanted one and it will be a keeper) we offered to collect it..
Nearly 4 hours away.
They offered to pay for our fuel, we declined. ( we”ll be going in the RS4 ).
They offered to put us up in a hotel, we declined..
They said they’d hide £400 in the car (basically what they factor in for delivery).
So we ended up coming to an agreement, they will brim the Cayman, give us £100 towards fuel for the RS4 and donate the rest to the MS Society (as the missus has MS).

How flippin splendid of them. Such a pleasant bunch of people to deal with.

Apparently a couple of weeks back, a Granny won a Kia Sportage, she was ecstatic as she said her current car hadn’t even got a radio, her grandson was grumpy about travelling in it.
On the way to drop the Kia off, Rev Comps stopped at a tech store and bought her grandson an ipad and surprised him by hiding it in the boot for him...now he can’t be bored in Nan’s car!

Yeah Rev Comps are awesome, I've heard of them donating the delivery fee to charity before, I think it's quite common for them if somebody local to them wins.

The video of them delivering the Audi R8 (to a teenager!) was good fun recently.
