st ! 195/199 almost certainly a postal.

Really annoying, I got my postal out on Saturday before last post for that, they would have received it Monday but ignored it. They processed the postals on wed/thu. Can almost guarantee I beat the others time wise.
Elite haven’t processed many of mine either. Sent a few off this morning but not holding my breath!

I was 189 processed on Wednesday iirc.
I do find if I post stuff in saturday post they sometimes go wayward... forgot this though when sending the 4 car & 2 car entries in today

Chuffed with 4 entries on the Leon with DCG though that's a beauty, shame its a 3 door not a 5 door but beggars/choosers biggrin

Sent 5 off to Click for the S15 they have too, lovely car but Click rarely process my entries so we shall see

Just seen this while buying tickets on one of the sites, wasn't there an argument a few pages back about how your odds don't just half if you buy two tickets biggrin

It's poor wording on their part and very poor form on the bit that adjusts to show your new 'odds'. The odds can't change, they are only drawing one number, so every ticket has a 1:15600 chance. You can increase the probability of winning by buying more tickets, but you can't lower the odds!

There are 15600 numbers in the draw, buying two tickets does not magically decrease that to 7800, they are picking 1 number from 15600 regardless of how many tickets you've bought.

To put it simply, if what they say is true, if they for some reason drew 7800 numbers, your number would be guaranteed to come out...clearly, that's not the case.

They are correct: buy two tickets the odds halve.

1/15,600 + 1/15,600 = 2/15,600 = 1/7,800

Two tickets = twice the likelihood = half the odds.
No, that’s not how it works.
Thats exactly how it works but it's a law of diminishing returns once you get to a certain point.

Nice one , at its peak I was getting £800 a month with elite getting the timing right but there’s no pattern to it now. Just seem to be brutal with it.

Did you send your DCG Leon on Wednesday or Thursday ? I sent one Thursday and ignored it today if they received it. I got one for the M5 with similar timing but managed to get it in the 18:30 collection on the way home from work so it got processed on the Thursday.

Just odd they’d ignore a 1 , but process 4 !

Anyone fancy the Porsche or Audi on DCG?

What would you choose?

I’d go 911 - I love the Audi but the 911 is lovely.
As much as I love the Audi and it would suit my needs way better, I also quite like my front door being in one piece and not being rudely awoken in the middle of the night by masked men. I think the Porsche is less likely to attract that sort of attention so would be my choice I think.

Rev Comps back to processing them for me, in fact as is sometimes the case with them I was given more tickets than I'd entered for.

Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding. I didn't even know there was a free postal option. Think for the loot involved I'd rather pay a couple of quid and make sure my entry was in, particularly for something really desirable.

I think most of us do both, for me if I get £100 of tickets free for something I feel less hesitant spending £50 on something else. From a personal perspective I spend money on those sites play honest.

According to the radio we spend over 800 million a year on these type of lotteries with approx 10% being on on credit.

I am a realistic player. Although the odds are significantly better than the lottery or the like, I know I am still incredibly unlikely to win, but on the grounds I perhaps spend a tenner twice a month and I can afford the dream, no harm done. I appreciate for some gambling is a problem and significant harm can be done, so what is the solution?

I wasnt making any judgements, I spend about the same as you. I was just surprised its such a big market I'd always assumed it was a little niche

Same spend for me, I use to get the odd scratch card or a lottery ticket but haven't got one in ages

It's completely unregulated, they could bring it under a similar umbrella to 'actual' gambling, insist sites allow you to set spending limits and so on.

Complete wild west at the moment, many companies completely dismissing their legal duties as it is.

Fair point, I had not realised I was so unregulated.

I'd be down about 10 grand if I'd paid for all my entries so I'll stick to mostly postals!

...but many people are saying postal entries are not being processed?

Most of mine get processed. 7days, DCG and revcomps are all pretty good. I've had hundreds go in fine.

The big sites do, to varying degrees of acceptability. On average I spend about £10 a week on postals and that gives me typically in the region of £70-£100 worth of accepted entries.

I've had nearly a grands worth of tickets processed by Elite in the past 3 months against an outlay of about £40, so £20 worth entries going missing needs to be put in that context (doesn't make it acceptable though, it's very clear they don't process everything).
