I guess the problem is though that it's not technically gambling. Online gambling sites have a load of codes, rules and laws to follow. For example they are registered with banks so you can ask for them to be blocked, they cannot accept credit cards, extended PayPal payments etc, links and support very visible on each page, spend restrictions and so on.Absolutely none of that with the car comp sites as they are 'free competitions'. You can sink about £10k a day across a couple of sites without breaking a sweat, and all based on rules designed for cereal packet competitions.

I'd gone off BOTB recently, but then I see the winner's video today, a really nice Wirral lad winning a new RS6 Performance plus £70k cash, plus last week a woman won £250k cash, it's crap odds but so far ahead of the other comps.
The winner videos really do work, it made me splash £50 just by seeing that guy win

On my Android phone (Google Pixel) you go into Settings > Apps > DCG > turn notifications off.

Does look good but it's always the problem of 'where do you keep/store it ?' You'd have to have somewhere or it's just going to get nicked.
I'd happily pay for storage for a year maybe, enjoy the car, take it to shows, but after that I think it would have to go.......
I used to play BOTB for a couple of years but the whole spot the ball process and the lack of transparency you have to think the odds of winning are probably similar to winning the Lotto Jackpot. Its better that they started doing the actual raffle type prizes but again no maximum tickets etc so odds are still huge for the prizes being played for (cash, watches, small cars etc). I also don't fully understand how they need to spot the ball for the main prize but not for the side competitions.
I found Rev Comps a year ago and switched to them as clear odds for every prize. Higher ticket prices but odds are much better and guaranteed draws plus entry lists are easy to find etc. Only really play for cars but last week saw they were also selling some packages for Silverstone F1 and MotoGP so had a punt on both. Saw the first guy who won the F1 had 10 tickets. Had some free credit earned from commenting on their facebook live draws so ended up buying max 10 tickets for the MotoGP (2 were free essentially) and ended up winning it. Its worth around £4k with an established motorsports hospitality company (from my own research since winning). They additionally gave me £500 cash for spending money which was not even in the original ticket advert but they just transferred it straight to my bank account.
So no complaints from me but I definitely prefer to pay higher per ticket price for lower odds than a lot of comps offering tickets at 99p etc. Their live draws are great fun and they often do late night live deliveries of cars when the winner is local. Also do a lot of charity fundraising. One draw I do recall a chap won a motorbike, they made a typo entering the winning number in their app so ended up ringing the wrong guy. When they realised they contacted the actual winner and sourced them an identical bike so both ended up winning.
Out of curiosity I just looked at their TrustPilot reviews and recently seems a spate of low scores and one chap focusing on the fact that two people with similar names won a couple of watches (not the high end rolex etc but some cheap Gucci watches) that were like 99 tickets and the person had max 5 tickets. What they failed to mention is same name played plenty of other watch prizes which they did not win - but that doesn't fit the narrative. More than likely some competitor trying to bash them.

Its relative as only 1999 tickets. Love the sound of these (my neighbor has one) but drove one on a track day back in the day and was very underwhelmed other than the noise. Admittedly it was not well maintained. Nothing really caught my eye this week so just got a couple of tickets on the VW camper conversion.I really wanted that M5 comp from last week. Did you see the draw for that - was hilarious. Guy had put his number in wrong by one digit so they called some guy who hung up. They text him, called him back and a heavy scottish voice went "I'm on a f****ing plane - call me later". They then tracked down the correct persons number from some previous orders and he went down the next day with his mrs and dog to collect it.

Because they are auto prizes they know will sell out and fill the gaps between the large ticket items. I used to like the watches every tuesday but they seem to do them later in the week now and not so many / same models in diff colours. At least the cars / bikes are displayed at the top so you dont have to scroll through all the small stuff.P1Fanatic said:

I've had a couple of goes on the roof tents. Sell out pretty quickly and its good money for them. They will have an agreement with Tentbox getting them alot cheaper.SimonTheSailor said:

I imagine these companies contact the competition companies with a pitch to trial something and if they sell the provide more. The MotoGP package I won is provided by Grandstand Motorsports and they sell motorsports packages all over the world. Rev Comps have a 2nd MotoGP package up for Silverstone and must be on 7-8 sold for the F1, as well as F1 Spa and Dutch GP's and even Indy 500 (think that only sold 80% probably due to distance, no direct flights to Indiana etc).I know for the popular watches like Rolex they pay well over RRP to jump waiting lists but I'm sure they have a good contact if they are flogging that many watches per week.
