Isn’t the general consensus that doctor owned cars are usually thrashed from cold to get to an emergency? hehe

I loved my Aero, but whilst it was cleaner than that one on top it was rotten underneath where the rear suspension mounts so definitely would want to get right under one if I were buying again. Seems decent value though.
My only experience is a boss’s car when they were new. He enjoyed driving it quite briskly around London and on one occasion bounced someone who had cut in on Embankment with the very generous front bumper which resulted in no damage but a lot of laughter. From us. Not the bumpee.
I think they’ve aged well.

Wheels with a hint of Max Power notwithstanding, that looks rather classy.
fks' sake lads since lockdown your standards have dropped off a cliff.

That boot hoovering is a work of art...

I remember this car being advertised at the beginning of lockdown, the price was £3500. A couple of weeks later the price was increased to 4k and then it disappeared from Autotrader, I assumed it was sold. I remember the original price as I was doing some man maths but not knowing if I definitely have a job to return to makes man maths difficult.

Getting quoted to fix this on the 190e later this week. It wasn't an MOT advisory but seeing that it's close to a jacking point the tester said I should get it seen too. It's a drain hole that looked to have previously been blocked up (it's not now, previous owner sorted it out) Hopefully not too hard on the old wallet! Jacking point itself is solid and this is the only area of corrosion under the car.

This is looking like it might go for inside thread. A tad miley but looks nice.
That went for £4,200, quite amazing, really. It looks very tidy. The interior is indeed very rare, being the full leather "Exclusiv" option at many thousands of pounds. Basically almost everything plastic on the standard car is leather wrapped. The driver's seat needs a good cleaning up though, doesn't it? Still, lot of car for the money. The mileage wouldn't bother me.

I see that the previously discussed CL420 on Collecting Cars went for under £3.5k - I think someone got a decent deal there but prices on these seem to be all over the place.

Is CC a buyers fee or sellers fee?

Boring colour, stinky diesel and massive tax. Still £3400 for a C6 with the lounge pack is reasonable.

Yes, I noticed the slidey arm rest was trimmed and stitched and thought the interior looked special. We both know you could easily sink the purchase price into it almost immediately though. Or just smoke and enjoy as-is.

Edit; I see the door cards are also fully trimmed, which is probably why the handles aren’t all peeling and horrible like most 129s with those door cards are.

Good morning, chaps (and any quietly-lurking chapesses).

I had some sobering news over the weekend - my cousin was killed in a car accident (fire) last week.

We don't yet know what happened, but it's a timely reminder to respect your car's inherent danger, and to keep safe.

Here's wishing everyone years of comfy bargemiles to come.

Out of budget, but I suspect it will free-fall nicely into budget in a few years as they must be a hard sell:

Big fat V6 electric everything and a rear arm rest of dreams all while being presumably quite reliable ?
I don't know what they were thinking attempting to sell those over here.

Their coupe which I believe was also called Genesis looked the bomb. I was waiting for to hear they off they would start building them.

But it never happened...
Agree with the above, my obsession with Crown's I wish the same - but there's not the customer base to make it worthwhile bringing over here. Such a shame as the current Crown has a brilliant looking hybrid luxury version (and there's a sportier one) using the drive-train from the current LS500.
