Spotted on Saturday.

Cracking plate - can't help thinking it would be more at home on something like this. Not that there's much wrong with the Aston of course.

Fair enough then! Incase you haven't seen it looks like K 1 has been sold by Saj Iqbal to Henry Simmons according to some Instagram plate pages:
A few people were asking Saj when his Porsche lost the K 1 reg..... he was maintaining radio silence until the Rolls appeared wearing the plate. Strangely it was said Henry Simmons owned H 3 but it was always on that Rolls. Henry Snr bought K 1 yet it was put on the Rolls.... so perhaps Henry never actually had H 3 at all..... either way H 3 is now on his Ferrari.

I do have some pics to upload on the next update... when's that? Well it should have happened two weeks ago!!laugh

I'm guessing that would've been around North Beds/Northants it belongs to the chap that owns the Shell garage on the A6 at Souldrop. I think the smart is his wifes car as he has a current generation M5 with a very similar 3 digit plate but I cannot remember what it is.

Amateurs. If you really want to wind up numberplate anoraks, stick a single digit plate on a reasonably priced car. hehe

Seems "1U" first appeared in 2017 (Vol 5) on a Ford Focus, in Rugeley, Staffs. Now just down the road, on a Kia.

I've been seeing historical cars and bikes with plates that have dashes in them e.g. ABC-123 and others seemingly hand-written in chalk. What is the legality of this, and can plates be re-made in this manner (assuming that it is being assigned to a historical vehicle)?

Not at all. Many of us like to see 1x1's on run of the mill cars. My personal favourite in 9 N biggrin

I originally spotted it on a white 5-series, before the focus - seems the owner can’t make up their mind what sort of car they’re after…

71E - VW Caravelle. Sadly how I've written it with no spacing. £6500 plus bits in June 2008.
