Two from today. MUK 7 AND 1 UB.

Here's the (probably now ex) owner of the Maybach registered 1 UB...

Also ex owner of Force India.

Without reading the above link for confirmation, he may be in the nick now.

Interesting, ta.

I didn't see who was in the back but did overtake it and there was what looked like a chauffeur driving it

I have noted the same thing with number plates promoted by Nick Singh Sahota. He no doubt has a great collection of cars and registration numbers, but he really puts himself out there by posting photographs online of some particularly valuable registration numbers on valuable cars, yet they are not always registered to any vehicle, let alone the ones photographed!

I hasten to add that photos I refer to cannot be dismissed as 'show plates' photographed on vehicles on 'private property.' I've seen many photographs of the same vehicles taken and posted online by sundry plate spotters in the wild, i.e. out and about, on the highway.
It was out and about, qualified for the bad parking thread as it was completely on the pavement, two chaps got into it and drove it back onto the road / drove off.

A quick question if I may. biggrin

My son is 18 soon and I am looking to buy him a number plate that he will hopefully keep for the rest of his life. It will be on retention initially I feel, although he does have a scooter so could technically go onto that.

Can it be put in his name immediately or does it have to go into mine as purchaser, and then I transfer to him?

On the paperwork put your sons name as the Nominee, yourself as Grantee/Purchaser. Job done, then he can assign the plate whenever he likes.

1KO on a Rolls Royce, you can guess who was driving, dressed as some sort of 1920’s army general. (No monocle though)

I have to say - if I was minted, I would also enjoy being able to wear whatever the f I wanted - after all, if you're poor and dressed like a weirdo, you're crazy, but if you're minted you are 'eccentric' hehe lol

I know it has been asked previously but is there any way of contacting the owner of certain numbers.

I have previously only had a mild interest in a private plate but ever since buying a car with a bit of a distinctive plate it has peaked my interest.

Out there is a white Peugeot 207 with ML11 HAN or a Fiat 500 with ML11 EHN.

Keep your eyes peeled.
