442 is one of the thee letter & three number sequences available on DVLA (e.g. MGZ 442 but that ones gone) however plenty more are available. Not quite sure why for some numbers there are lot of letter combinations available (in 442 for example) but in others, 260 for example - none.
What year/reg is the car? Saloon or estate?
Built 2004, registered 2006 on a 56, it’s a saloon.
Might not be a dateless plate that hides the age but this sort of thing would work and relatively cheap….

Good spot, but would like to get away from the modern format if possible. Really would like a V8 plate, but struggling to get a relevant one so might just have to go for something anonymous.

Love this, both the plate and the car. One of my guilty favourites, the 240.

Old money, in a sea of modern dross and butchered chavplates.

If I ever get the cash together then I'd like a single-letter plate, 3 or 4 numbers is fine - don't see many of them!

There’s a smart Mondeo by me with 100 K spaced correctly. It’s got a good look.

Saw AP15TON today not spaced correctly on a Transit.

Fantastic plate, well done

Does she drive an Abarth, by any chance? Probably best she doesn't or she might find herself on the C124PPY thread

That's a great buy.

We got a plate for my stepdaughter Megan which is ME65 xxx She is known by all as Megs and the xxx being an abbreviation of her surname.

Waiting to go on her next car when hers is passed to her younger sister who turns 17 this year when we will get her one new enough to display it (she is 18 and only passed her test a few months back so first car was an older one to learn in).

Lovely stuff. Only trouble having a distinctive plate is people are forever saying “oh, I saw you at such a place”. Hope daughters don’t think it’s an old fashioned method of tracking.

Just kidding. Nice stories thumbup
