The Single Single site looks excellent.
Lots of great detail on there. thumbup
Yes - it is well done

I had a look at your missing ones and I can help a little with tracing F 7 in so far as the Mors is part of the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden near Biggleswade.

Thanks, and thanks for the pointer
Interesting! Is Shame it does not show the plate. Was it orginally F7? the blurb states it was the first car registered in the County, so would it not have been F1 - new log book was issued 2016.

Shows up as a Mini alright. While on the subject of "checking up" which websites are ye guys using? My favorite is Vehiclesmart.

Another one that I use frequently is motorcheck.ie, from when I was in the Irish Republic.
I just use the DVLA MOT checker. Or if a plate isn't on it, one of the tyre price comparison ones as they don't update as often.

How / where can I find out if a plate was ever issued though ?
Romeo Yankee or I can help. We have the 'plate bibles' that can provides as much detail as is available on where and when every plate was issued, at least up until the eighties. Feel free to DM me, I'm a shocking beard for stuff like this and could do with the distraction.

Whoosh............over my head this one. Can I ask the dreaded "why is this real good"?
In fairness I'm not sure it qualifies as "real good" but it got a chuckle as I went by. The 0 is much squarer, so it reads as LADS, FOR F*CKS SAKE.

In the same way I found NO54FER (No Safer) pretty amusing years ago. (NO54FER was all the better for being on a Land Rover.)

Given that there are two types of dateless plates - Original issue and DVLA auction issue. The latter could be found on the DVLA website:
https://dvlaregistrations.dvla.gov.uk/search/previ...
Note the search function is space sensitive.
All original issues can be looked up in the "plate bibles" mentioned by M3DGE.
Any other type of plate, Suffix, prefix or current issue, I would suppose you can only find out if it was ever issued or not by asking DVLA themselves. You can off course type them into vehicle smart or some of the other "checking-up" sites, however they would only show up if they are assigned to a vehicle and not on retention.

This one ???

Got any spare cash?

Current DVLA Auction

Lot 10 477 ACK £5040 So far.
Wow! That's quite a sum for that type of plate. Though no attack on Rat Attack's credibility.

I’ve fallen foul of that train of thought on plate prices before. But, dig deeper and you can often see how it has value to a select group. I agree with you on this plate but then I found this:

“Syed (Arabic: سيد‎) (plural sādah) is an honorific title that is given to males accepted as descendants of the Islamic prophet Muhammad(Pbuh) through his grandsons, Hasan ibn Ali and Husayn ibn Ali, who were the sons of his daughter Fatima Zahra and son-in-law Ali ibn Abi Talib.”

And how I could I miss that, seeing that Arabic is a language I am versed in. And yes, the prices the plates are going for recently have just gone crazy. average plates going for silly money.

It is the only surviving car of that type and recorded with the VCC on F7 at Shuttleworth since at least the late eighties. I can't see them taking the number off and it ties up with DVLA.

Unlikely, being a 2001-2002 plate.

Off topic, but I really do wish my brain was wired for languages and reading non-english characters frown

It's all just squiggles and heiroglyphs to me!

To me that would read Laos, as in the country.

My friends tell me that the number 786 also has significance in that religion, hence the high prices historically
