Was just browsing through forthcoming DVLA auction plates listings and saw 1212 M come up:

https://dvlaauction.co.uk/auction/B254/1212M

which I thought looked familiar...

... which it was, because M 1212 is for sale on one of the plate dealers' sites:

https://www.speedyreg.co.uk/number-plates-info/M-1...

Could be an interesting pair for someone with much more available spare cash than me. lol

Saw V 10 on a new Range Rover today just on the outskirts of Aberdeen.

Saw it years ago on a V10 R8 once but haven’t seen it since.

A friend at schools father had UPU 2 on a Mercedes 190 Cosworth - this was around 1990 ish.

I wonder if it's been sold on since.

As we're discussing tragedies and 1980's thick people's humour, UP U 51R (spaced in that manner) was certainly on a ropey S-Type not long ago. Heavily italicised to show how needy the driver was.

Also saw MUK 1 today, was on a FFRR last I saw, now in black and silver on a modern black and white Rolls. Appalling waste.

On a wee Yaris travelling the A90 today, it entered my mind what would be worth more. Car or plate?
