I have a pair of front callipers that have now lived on four of my cars! Beat that for upcycling!
First car was a Formula 27 kit car powered by a 919 Fireblade. The kit was purchased complete minus the engine to ensure a new registration and came with new M16 callipers. These were quickly exchanged for some lightweight Wilwoods once the car was registered. Date 2000.

In about 2006 I purchased a tired RS2000 and fitted the callipers this time with spacers for vented discs. I still have the car and will rebuild it when I get the chance.

I have since built another MK2 this time with LS1 power - search on here for 'Escort LS1 in orange' for the full build. I first built it a pair of Wilwoods that were of a Westfield V8 race care but I could not get them to work for me. So to prove whether it was a brake or master cylinder problem I swapped the Wilwoods for the trusty M16 callipers! The M16s worked great but I still changed them for a new set of the biggest discs and callipers I could fit behind 15 inch wheels.

Finally they now live on my original mk1 Mexico. Now built to historic rally spec with a 2.1 pinto and all the period goodies that when with them. This car is mint and is a keeper.
