Looks pretty epic. Isn't that Tim Burton (aka Shmee150) driving the car in the video?
And in one fell swoop - I have literally lost every ounce of desire for this car.Sorry, while he's clearly a popular guy in the Youtube world - I simply cannot abide him.
I'm generally not a fan of Premier League footballers but I'd still like a Ferrari 488.

What an odd thing to say. You no longer like the car because a Youtuber you don't like has driven it?

Then have another coffee mate and clear your mind a bit: the point is still in front of you if you're prepared to look for it.I'm generally not a fan of Premier League footballers but I'd still like a Ferrari 488.
I love how Youtubers (who are enthusiasts, just like we are) have become the new targets of hatred and derision on this forum, particularly as they're usually targeted by people who could never afford the cars they drive in the first place...
I know Tim is on here and I'm sure many others also lurk around - if any of you guys are reading, more power to you for living the dream!

Hmmm, I hope you weren't including me in such a blanket statement?I know Tim is on here and I'm sure many others also lurk around - if any of you guys are reading, more power to you for living the dream!

lmao, you don't like the car because Tim was involved? You do realise how many AMG's Tim has; surely you'd have been put off already?Sorry, while he's clearly a popular guy in the Youtube world - I simply cannot abide him.
Fair enough, everyone has their own personal views, but in my opinion, Tim is an ambassador for the motor industry; he's respected by many, especially the brands, is honest, open, doesn't swear, rarely accepts sponsored videos and puts plenty of miles on his 'collection' for all of us to enjoy.

Yep, and yet another one who completely misses the point of my post. Do you honestly, honestly think someone would really take a dislike for a car, based on the appearance of a YouTuber in a promo video? Seriously? Fair enough, everyone has their own personal views, but in my opinion, Tim is an ambassador for the motor industry; he's respected by many, especially the brands, is honest, open, doesn't swear, rarely accepts sponsored videos and puts plenty of miles on his 'collection' for all of us to enjoy.
And no, I have no idea how many AMG's he has nor anything else of his 'collection' (I didn't even know his name was Tim), as I have never watched any of his videos. I've tried, but no, he is not 'my cup of tea', so I have never gone past a minute. I have no doubt he's probably a very nice guy - as I said in my original post, clearly he is popular on YouTube, so he's obviously doing something right. But he is not for me...... why is that not allowed? So he has a whole heap of AMG's, and so I HAVE TO LIKE HIM??? If he does have a whole heap of AMG's, then more power to him - he knows his market well and has obviously made a success of catering to it, so for that I applaud him. But just because YOU think he's an amazing human being (and obviously the other respondent to my post also), doesn't mean I have to think he's one too: is that not OK with you?

Of course you are entitled to that view sugar cup, that is why I respected your opinion and shared my own.And no, I have no idea how many AMG's he has nor anything else of his 'collection' (I didn't even know his name was Tim), as I have never watched any of his videos. You've been seething with that one all day, haven't you? You need to relax man, you shouldn't let things get under your skin like that - it's the weekend! Just take a breath, count to ten, and you'll be fine - there really are more important things in life for you to be worrying about.Arsecati said:

Is a performance car with an autotragic tranny something you'd actually desire anyway? Come on mate you're a biker - road feel and engagement and all thatI'm not the biggest fan of Shmee or Doug DeMuro, but once you get past their whiny annoying voices and playing to the gallery (DeMuro: OH MY GOD this car has a heated steering wheel), they have some informative content.
That said, I only watch every 10th video or so they do cos I can't handle the packing of said content
