If you're a new member, welcome to PistonHeads!

We were all new once and understand it can be a bit daunting to post, especially with 170+ different forums on PH. But we're a friendly bunch really – we love to chat about cars and all manner of things.

Feel free to post on this thread to say hello or ask any questions you may have and we'll point you in the right direction. You may find our forum guide pretty handy too, which you can find here.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for approving my account. I would like to post a picture of a vehicle to see if anyone can tell me the model. How do I add a new post? I can’t see an option to do this.

Thanks.

Regards,

Nicola

Hello welcome to PH.
There is a user guide linked from Ben’s opening post.

To start a new thread you need to go to the correct sub forum. I suggest General Gassing if it is a modern car, or Classic Cars and Yesterday’s Heroes if it is an old car you want to find out about. If you know the make then you could ask in that particular sub forum.
There is a ‘start new topic’ button at the top:

Thanks Scrump, I planned to post in the general gassing section but can’t see the button to add a post. Is it because I’m on an iPhone?
Thanks.

If you are on a mobile then the ‘start new topic’ button appears at the bottom of the screen (at least it does on my android phone).

Good evening all!
I'm Antonio from Italy, but everyone call me Toto. I'm tipyng from Imola (yes the one of the racetrack).
Always love think with an engine but until a couple of month ago with just two wheels, I own a Triumph Speed triple an half of a Bimota db4 (half because is under construction since long time).
Now I want, no, I need a kit car.....
Please, if you have, can you suggest a good doctor or in alternative, a good car to buy.
😬

Welcome Toto, we have ‘biker banter‘ for motorbike chat and ‘kit cars’ for....kit car chat.

Welcome to PH Toto! As Scrump has already said, we have our Kit Car forum which is a good place to ask for advice.

If you're looking to buy something from the UK, you may already know of the hugely popular Caterham Seven. Caterham will have a dealer in Italy but we also have them for sale on PistonHeads here: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

Westfield's are also quite popular kit cars: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

And everything else will be in our Kit Car category here: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

Good luck!

Welcome to PH! When's your new car due? I'd recommend starting a Readers' Car thread once it has arrived here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&...

Welcome to PistonHeads Steve! I would recommend starting a thread in our Car Buying forum with your requirements/budget and I'm sure members will help with suggestions for you: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&...

Equally we do have buying guides for the Continental and DB9 so these are well worth a read, even though they are in need of a refresh.

Continental GT: https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-buying-guides/...
DB9: https://www.pistonheads.com/news/general/aston-mar...

Then once you've made your mind up, head over to the classifieds here https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-carsthumbup

Hi. I'm fairly new to PH, at least when adding my own topic to the many forums here. Is there any way I can edit the topic heading to one of my entries? Thanks.
