Thanks, just come here from DRIVETRIBE as it is not going to be a thing anymore sadly
Welcome! If you're looking for advice on your first car, then I'd recommend starting a thread in our Car Buying forum. It's sounds like you're keen to write about it once you have one, so our Readers' Cars forum is definitely worth a look.Keep an eye out for our Sunday Service events too. Most of them are free to attend and our first one for 2022 should be in March, so come along and meet some of the community!
Hi Everyone,
Nice to be on here, finally, done a lot of reading of these forums and threads while looking for advice in the past, it's always been helpful!
I finally decided to join because I wanted some advice on my MX-5 NC (fairly old, 2 prior owners), which is now refusing to start. Would I start a topic / thread for this in general gassing forum or in the MX-5 forum or somewhere else entirely?
Cheers!

Hi and welcome to PH, you'll probably get more specific answers if you post in the relevant marques forum. i.e MX5 questions for MX5 answers. Nice to be on here, finally, done a lot of reading of these forums and threads while looking for advice in the past, it's always been helpful!

If you're a new member, welcome to PistonHeads!
We were all new once and understand it can be a bit daunting to post, especially with 170+ different forums on PH. But we're a friendly bunch really – we love to chat about cars and all manner of things.
Feel free to post on this thread to say hello or ask any questions you may have and we'll point you in the right direction. You may find our forum guide pretty handy too, which you can find here.

Hi,
I'm an older lass, and I passed my test in 2019. With the plague and everything, I'm still trying to work out what is what. You seem a nice lot here. Where is the best place to look for tips about a Citroen C3?
Thank you for any help.
Welcome to PH! If you're looking for advice, then our French Bred forum would be the best place for the C3 https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&...I'm an older lass, and I passed my test in 2019. It's not the type of car we review at PH but you may find our sister site CarGurus helpful for their review and finding one to buy https://www.cargurus.co.uk/Cars/Citroen-C3-2016-Ge...
Hi thanks for letting me on. Rebuilt my first 4 cylinder at 13 years old. Had my own garage to pay my way through uni. Served in the army and the police. Took an ied and had to retrain after my spine was rebuilt. Not much else to say about me except I've had 84 cars and motorcycles over the years. From new through to old bangers.

Welcome to PH! Sounds like you have quite the story to tell – with that amount of cars I'd recommend starting a Readers' Cars thread https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&...Good evening
Thanks for the info and welcoming, I'm just waiting to collect my new 4 wheeled new family member.....I've purchased another MK11 Fiat uno turbo in red which is need of a tidy up. Luckily the dreaded tin worm has been taken care of only needing a good tidy up....I owned another mk!! about 14 years ago when i met my now wife....she hated it of course so it ended up being sold on and have always wanted another....
I'd be interested to know where the nearest/best place to go for turbo unit rebuild please.....
Anyway i hope to get some pictures up soon if i can learn to upload as im more of a mechanic than computor Boffff.
Thanks

Hi, i am new to piston heads but wanted some more broader opinions on my dilemma rather than just posting on BMW only forums.
About 6 years ago i bought a barn find 1986 325i manual 3 door coupe E30 in Zinnabar red. It has a legit 78,000 on the clock with full mot history and service history to back it up with a Hpi certificate too.
I spent thousands on this car, rebuilding the m20b25 motor, fitting BBS split rims, gaz coilovers and a full genuine M-tech1 body kit with every nut bolt and washer new from bmw.
Car is currently stripped for resto but i want to cash it out to finish two other long standing projects. Would rather sell as a whole lot than split it all out in parts as it`d be heartbreaking doing that.
Where am i best to post all the info to get some sensible feedback ?
Thanks in advance
