I'm waiting to hear back from the garage about what ails mine. Hoping I get something today.
Any news?

So there's been a problem with the new radiator! They took the old radiator off, and after unpacking the new radiator it was evident the new radiator is damaged! New one ordered from Lexus and arriving Friday. They said they could put it back together but I said just keep the car and I should get it back Friday. I don't need it tomorrow or Friday really and I'm just pleased it went through the MOT without a single advisory.
Oooft, don't envy them having to mess about with well-worn and rusty pipes all day.

How is Miss Jones by the way? Good Welsh name that.
It was the new rad that was damaged, I gather they had no issue getting the old one off, fortunately!

Haven't seen her since last week, I think she's in next week next. Such a wait hehe

I'd say wrong on both counts. I can't see either of them having any time for diesel.

I'm with 21CM. No proper chap chooses anything that stinky.

Perhaps the original owner didn't like stopping for fuel once they left the island?

When one reaches a certain age the stops are driven more by the need to relieve oneself, and act as a convenient opportunity to refuel. And buy sugary comestibles. And Ginsters. Obvs.

After consultating google Jersey only has 450 miles of roads, for anyone to buy a diesel they'd surely have to be doing a least one lap a day of the island

Great to see everyone!

The overwhelming pressures of moving house on Friday prevented me from doing anything beyond opening unlabelled boxes (thank you dear wife) searching for such mundane things as fresh clothes, and reassembling furniture; sorry chaps it seems that you had a good day. It would have been nice to put faces, and real names to handles and cars. Next time, inshallah.

To think I paid £400 just a few short years ago for an E34 T that made it (absolutely loaded to the gunnels) to Gibraltar and smoked around for a year in it.

Great feeling isn't it. Am I the only one who is sad enough to return to the MOT checker page a few days after, still pinching myself with joy that the bargain barge has passed another MOT with minimal fettling required?
