The W221 is the first car I can think of that definitely had it, but beyond that I'm not sure.
ETA: Wiki has quite a good list, from a north american perspective of course.

Thanks, Krikkit. Well, if it was an option on post 2009 E classes, that's not too bad. Should hopefully be a few big-engined estates around the £10K mark by the time my E55 dies. ETA: Wiki has quite a good list, from a north american perspective of course.

Jaguar were surprisingly early to this game, I'm sure I used it in a 2000ish XK8 and it showed a lot of potential even then. More modern implementations that can stop and go again make driving in heavy stop start traffic so much less tiring and annoying, I'm very sad my W221 doesn't have it.

Pretty easy when you go to quote and the filename link/URL includes Honda NSX in it
Given the investigative skills of the PH Bargistas in rooting out Big Dave's S600 backstory and finding out the name, age, address, inside leg measurement, bust size, and favourite sexual position of Stabby from far fewer clues, it seems that I've got a lot to learn when it comes to coding messages!!JeremyH5 said:

170k miles, and a slightly strange price (£5,522 - designed for negotiation to the top of thread surely?!), but a large amount of swank for the cash.

Mudflaps is always a good sign.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202010044...
Also a nice shot of the headlining - is that to prove it's unpunctured by a stiletto heel?
I am 'meh' about black over black, but I like the car.
I had a lease 2016 VW Passat Alltrack with radar cruise that couldn't crawl in traffic on its own - after a few seconds stood still it would require the press of a button or a prod of the throttle to get it crawling again. I didn't understand why.
The snow sent it nuts too.

I keep looking at these S4 convertibles. I like the idea of a manual V8. A bad idea? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202001156...

I imagine by the end of the road you'd be wishing you were in a 330i.CharlesdeGaulle said:
Reassuringly high mileage and a blonde. What's not to like.

You see the odd one in proper colours and they look so much better and much more like a £100,000+ super coupe, although the traditional German bright orange wood can spoil the effect. In black/black not so much.I am 'meh' about black over black, but I like the car.
From the 2008 US Brochure:
As an aside it's interesting that the US brochure has way more technical detail, and also that they fit far smaller brakes to these things over there - 335mm 4 pot front brakes on the CL500 and 300mm rears with cheapy floating calipers, a decent spec for a diesel Volvo V60 but not really what you'd want in a 2 ton car that can easily do 155MPH.

I know everyone here loves a Merc, so here's one which says P.O.R......so theoretically it could be in thread budget:

Without looking at the ad I'm going to guess that's €1.5m. https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/mercedes-benz...
It probably isn't, though

Superb engine aside the couple of S4s I tried were dynamically inferior to a Mk2 Volvo C70, riding with a crashing ineptitude that borders ont he alarming while going round corners with all the enthusiasm of a stockpiling Morlock's shopping trolley full of tinned goods.Engine was awesome though.

Also, is the Omega one of the last cars with a mechanical drum for the odometer, rather than a digital read-out?
Good spot! Quite possibly, yes. I can't think of anything else. Although I'm sure some cars built in Russia or somewhere else may. [Rolf] Can you guess what it is yet? [/Rolf]

My 2003 Super V8 had ACC and never failed to suprise passengers that a old car had technology like that. When I was shopping for a W211/216 it was a dealbreaker for me. Works all the way to stop, if stopped for more than a few seconds you do need to tap the accelerator to move again- some safety feature I guess.
With Distronic Plus & Active lane assist it should in theory drive itself on the motorway, but I wouldn't want to test it!

Have you driven one of those Vectras? I can only assume not, for the fact you posted it.....
among other disasters, I bought a Frontera 2.4 new in 1995, don't expect a sensible response about quality of drive from here! Edited by Macron on Monday 19th October 19:06
I had a v60 d5 hire car for a few months with their all singing and dancing version of radar cruise and it was awesome.
Wakefield to Chertsey and I must have pressed the brake pedal maybe twice the whole way on one occasion. Other than that I was either following cars going the same way or it was riding the cruise at 95
As a test I even used it to drive in to the town centre one Saturday morning, and as I never hit a red light at the 'front' of the queue, again I never touched the brakes until I got to the car park. Truly awesome.
Only thing I learnt very quickly was to turn the distance tracker thing to minimum. As you go faster it 'sees' farther forward and at 95mph on the tighter left hand sweep M40 near Souldern it decided the central reservation was a stationary object and slammed all on.
The guy following (at appropriately illegal speed) must have had a heart attack. Bloody good job he was switched on or...bump!
I don't know why, but it always felt a little weird - even in the Merc pressing resume - for the car to leap forward from 50 to 95, after white Vanman gets out the way. A bit like 'hang on laddy, we're on one!'

I like the concept but a colleague had a Golf that needed the tracking adjusted on a couple of occasions following pothole damage - that then brought about the need for a ‘recalibration’ of the Radar which was an additional cost. Makes me a bit wary of these, although perhaps there are non dealer options for this. The snow sent it nuts too.
