I’d definitely be adding a Z4 to the mix... preferably a Z4M, but even the 3.0 si Sport are lovely...

Wish id never let me Fiat Coupe 20 V Turbo go, 6-7 years ownership though was so much fun and a lovely engine noise.

I simply cannot see a TVR being anything but utterly desirable, amazing looks racy engine and hugely fast.

If that was a Roadster I’m not sure I could resist.

Re that Scoob, always hated the bug eyed ones other than the S202. Awesome looking thing and still hope to get one eventually.

Wouldn't consider the TVR, unless it'd had a proper engine rebuild. Wouldn't pick the mk1 Focus RS over the mk2 Focus RS either.

TVR you are buying for the very long term - likely chuck an Electric motor in it in the future to keep it going.

Mk1 Focus RS is very special doesn’t look so “Halfords stick on bin” than the Mk2 plus only the Mk1 Focus went rallying the others are produced road only.

I think unmolested well looked after W204 C63's will be future classics, especially the rarer models such as the 507 edition or any that are Performance Pack Plus + optional factory LSD - these are hard to find. Plenty of PPP around without LSD.

I’m hoping my S205 C63 Premium Pack will do reasonably well too. Mine being 2 owners (me being second) tiny miles and totally stock.

Honda Insight is wager will be a special car.
Ditto the Lupo 3L LHD

The Mk.1 is the original, and while the Mk.2 was a 'better car' when new......that doesn't mean it will be more collectible, especially given more were made.

Mk.1's and probably the very last of the line 5 cyl Mk.2's will be the ones to 'collect' for the long term.

That TVR will be fine, it's being sold by just about the most reputable dealer in the UK.

Will the MK1 RS go up much more in value? I don't think they'll get to Cosworth, or MK1/2 Escorts.

Bugeye Impreza, really have grown on me over the last few years, but to most it'll be the older STI's that will be a classic. The Bugeye was the turning point for the Evo and Impreza, they got big and heavy looking.

The mentions of RX 7's, have you seen the price they fetch for a clean original example?! That's ignoring the Spirit R version.#

I'd love an Elise or Exige, sadly not in a position to have one as a second car, I've had to talk myself out of the idea of one as a daily driver. To me there's just something about them that no other manufacturer can match. Maybe one day I'll be lucky enough.

The Porsche does nothing for me.
TVR is just cool, any of them.
Maserati wouldn't be for me either.

Out of the list though I'm sure you already know what my choice would be.

TVR Cerbera was and still is a bedroom poster car.

To think back in the day they were a lot cheaper then the E36 M3 Evo

Will a Lotus Elan ever gain Proper classic status ?

Lotus Carlton?

147 GTA?

The MK2 was used as a WRC car for sure and was replaced by the Fiesta.

I find the whole investment thing a mystery. At the top end of the market, you wouldn't spend £1m on a house that you might not be allowed to live in, in 20 years time and even if you were allowed, you can't buy fuel for the central heating, so why would you spend it on a car that you might not be allowed to drive? Sad as it seems, how can any purchase of an ICE car be seen as a long-term investment?

I’m talking about decades away when frankly that’s the only option.
