I have to say, hand on heart, I’d be really embarrassed to be seen in that. But I guess I’m not their target market.
The beauty of these cars is they will live in temperature and humidity controlled garages and will never be driven so nobody will recognise you. What killed this car off for me was back when it was launched, it had a what looked like a small TV screen rise out of the bed bonnet to deflect the air so you wouldnt need a windscreen. While a fun idea, it was imo also a hideously fugly one that ruined the front of the car. A lil low screen at the front would have looked great.
Interestingly while i was on Mclarens site recently i looked at this car and while going through several pages of sales/info i couldnt find one picture of the "TV" raised out of the bonnet. Maybe they ditched the idea.
Also imo the speed humps look too wide, tall & fat from the front, i know other cars do this but i think they look awfull too. Now im not the biggest Ferrari fan, but imo the Monza SP2 blows this out the water. Apart from that tacky lil plastic? panel full of cheap looking buttons on the inside of what is otherwise a lovely cockpit. But just look at these beautifull speedhumps! The whole cars a beauty!
Each to their own though, im sure the owners will love them, the graphite grey colour looks best on this Mclaren i think, maybe black.

Yowzers that is awful.
And what's the obsession with Gulf Oil livery? I know the historical significance but why do people slap this colour scheme and branding onto new stuff?
No historical significance at all for McLaren; it was only used in period by the JWA Gulf team on their Porsches, Fords and Mirages. And what's the obsession with Gulf Oil livery? I know the historical significance but why do people slap this colour scheme and branding onto new stuff?
