Thanks big rob.
So, given how many of us are solar powered, BEVs are, for the most part, ultimately powered by coal, oil, or gas.
In the Uk at least roughly 50% of electricity is generated from renewables (another 8% or so from biomass if you count that).

As i said, the Bronco is the small one and it is chest height. This is very "Team America" spec.
As far as the Bronco goes,
2 door Bronco, Defender 90
Length. 173.7. In 180.4 in
Width. 75.9. 78.6
Height. 75.2. 77.5
Weight. 3950 lbs. 4830 lbs

Am I missing something here? Team America is smaller than Team Uk, and the Wrangler equivalents are even smaller still.

As for the Hummer, it's not that big, it's about 30 in shorter than the current Raptor, and only 14 in longer than a McLaren Speedtail, lol. People love these big trucks in the States, I'm not one of them, but I would rather see this ev Hummer than the diesel equivalent. I think it'll do quite well here in California, especially with the removable roof, wasn't expecting that.

The novelty of a car/4x4 that is the width, length of a 5 t truck gets very wearing when your driving of it gets dictated by parking it or places you can't drive it.
Much less of an obstacle in its intended market.
Indeed. Almost every parking bay is a disabled bay in the US. wink. Joys of cheap land, every thing and everyone can just consume and consume and expand into that space unfettered.

Not entirely sure we should celebrate biomass though. Our local place imports its biomass from Eastern Europe. It’s an industry that like biofuels is monetising deforestation and also incurring unnecessary transport costs and pollution.

The real key to massive continued expansion of clean energy is to get away from bio anything as it’s not doing anyone any favours but instead just pushing the problem to somewhere else so as to take taxpayer monies. To do that we have the massive problemnof energy storage which remains cripplingly inefficient and needs to be resolved. It’s the lack of energy storage that means we have to keep burning stuff as this remains the only way to smooth out supply. And obviously, national security dictates that we need to maintain a range of things to burn so that at no point is the country beholden to another country.

If you want to know what the fuel source is for the UK Grid, have a look at this, it's pretty much real time I think...

now that (and the Bronco) look like fun. Really like 'em both, apart from the lack of V8
