A Capri with fewer than 10,000 miles would be notable; one with *less than 1,000 miles must be unheard of
It should be 'fewer', you had it right the first time. If you didn't want to re use the 'fewer than' phrase again 'under' would have been acceptable.Edited by varsas on Friday 23 October 12:47

That Brooklands Green looks very Caspian Blue on my device.
I assume by device you mean 'eyes', because yeah, it's blue.Looks to be a bit of wear on the door pull as well to go with the driver's seat bolster wear, so as suggested above, presumably the owner has spent their time getting in the car, having a little cry wk about their lost youth and then scrabbling back out again.
Just seems a waste really.
I grew up with my Dad owning many Capri's. Loved his 3.0S. He owned a 2.8i Special for about 5 weeks before it was stolen.
So have a very soft spot for Capri's, but not at that price. Not on my income anyway. But if you're very rich, and want to relive owning a Capri, then it's a fine example to own.
I just hope whoever buys it, drives it, and doesn't stick it away hoping to make £20k in 10 years time.

Wonder what 34 years later, the original buyers of these would be looking at if transported to 2020 and presented with that 35 grand to buy an equivalent ?
If think if the original buyers were transported to the stshow that is 2020, I think they'd tell you to keep your £35k and take them back to 1987 immediately! These things look so tiny now when you see them in the flesh. My best mates dad had a 2.8i in 1983 and it seemed sooo cool at the time, but I never thought of it as small. Cars have grown and perceptions change. Still love it though (although I prefer the earlier pepper pot look).
P.S. Mate's dad bought the 2.8i after selling an Oselli tuned 3.0S and went on to own an Sierra Cosworth RS500 (which got stolen obviously) and a Jensen Interceptor. He was the cool dad! Mine had a Cavalier SRi, which wasn't a bad effort I suppose but not on the same step really.

I'm sure this was posted a month or so ago too? Seem to remember sending the reg/link to its last sale for £54k.

I had two 2.8 Injections - one 1983 and one 1985. Both from new and as company cars. When the time came to replace the second one in 1987 I opted for a Granada instead as the rear seats in the Capri were too small for my children by that time. The 280 is not much different from the Special (my 1985 one) and I did a total of more than 150,000 miles over the life of the pair of them. They seemed like very powerful cars at the time and in the days before the speed obsession they would cruise all day at illegal speeds comfortably. I wouldn't want one now except for the rarity appeal of one so pristine, but I did enjoy them at the time. No real common problems with either but both had warranty work such as clutch becoming intolerably juddery at about 40k, LSD becoming noisy on tight corners early on with the Special (open diff on the 1983 car), water pump failed on one, and a gearbox bearing failed on one as well. Perry's always put the wrong grade of spark plugs in at service and they fouled quickly and needed wire brushing every so often to cure a low speed misfire. The 2.8 Granada plugs they use were unsuitable but despite the handbook specifying otherwise, they persisted on using them.

Googling 280 images to see if they're blue or green returned this article that may be about the same car:
