I go back and forth with modern Ferrari, either really liking them or thinking no, they are actually quite ugly and the design is far too busy.
Most supercars have the same issue with design though, they are all like if you crush a plastic bottle and blow it back up but its still got all the creases, crushes and folds in.

I tend to agree - Ferraris of the modern age a certainly For the most part are no longer elegant imo and it seems like with every generation the details are getting more and more fussy (great exmple IMO what were they thinking when designing the 812 front lights with that kink at the bottom and all those creases/lines in the bodywork).
Do like the 612, thought it was horrible when launched but looks better with every passing year (so there is still hope for the new ones ...)
I do quite like the design of the F12 and would pick one over the 812 (it is not like it is short on power)
I do think the 355 and the 360 CS were the last nice looking V8 cars (the 458 is quite nice, but again not sure why the light cluster needs to be so elongated)
Friend saw this parked up in the wild yesterday - not seen a pic of it outside of a studio yet

Weirdo.I even like it's kitcarishness - it's about simplicity and lightness and hardcore. I like that the paint is so thin you can see the Kevlar weave, and that you use strings to open the doors, and that you could spec it with plastic windows. Modern Ferraris are sybaritic in comparison. Have any since really been so single-minded?
Incidentally, the F50 looks awesome... except from the front which is rank. It's like someone styled a beautiful, curvaceous version of the F40, and then some prick in marketing said it had to look stupidly like an F1 car at the front.

All Ferraris apart from the 60s and maybe a couple of 70s ones are ugly.
WHAT!!I've never liked the F40, 50, Enzo looks. 550 is okay, but in an ugly sort of way..599, no. F12..too big and fussy details. 456, 612 no, no way.
Then there's the real munters; 308 GT4, mondial, Testarossa, 348, F430, California, FF, GTC4, Portofino..
The only 'modern' one I think works is the 288 GTO from the 80s, but not a patch, as I say, to the 60s and some 70s ones.
Oh, and I also think the Daytona is a dog!

Mmmm. The F40 is epic. One of the best cars I have ever driven. Stupidly fast, raw, fast. One of my all time favourite cars.
Yes I know that paintwork is a tad thin, the welding inside can be, well, odd, they have cord door pulls, some don’t have windows, some have sliding hatches but who cares???
All part of the aura of Ferrari at the time.
An absolute gem of a car.
Supercars these days are not only designed for looks, they are often designed for function. This can be seen in the relentless drive for Nurburgring lap times/records. Shaving those times down seems to have become the primary concern above all else.
I don’t agree with this approach because the cars are largely unusable at anywhere near their potential unless you’re in the smallish percentage who track them often but it, in my opinion , is what is leading to somewhat aggressive designs that not all like.
That said, the only modern Ferrari’s I don’t like are the California, portofino and the Roma.
