Easily. I think both my 440i and MK1 TT V6 take up slots 1 and 2. The third fastest is likely to be a repmobile 2.0d something or other. There used to be a really chavved up F80 M3, and Focus ST estate but that house went eerily quiet around April and now they have a 2010 diesel Renault Megane, so a proper step-change.

I reckon my neighbours M4 has me beat, but mine is definitely louder! biggrin

I live in Jersey, so obviously every other car is a Bugatti, Bentley, Lambo or Rolls.

Aside from that misconception, my road is rubbish for fast cars, so my Stage 1 Golf R is comfortably faster than the neighbours' MX5, Transit, 3 series diesel and ropey old Alfa.

There is an Aventador half a mile away, mind.

Most of the time (2015 M5) but occasionally there's a souped up RX8 that visits a neighbour that looks like it has potential.

Another neighbour had a Stelvio Quadrifoglio for a fews days as a hire car that'd beat mine 0-60.

Having only an MX5 its quite a struggle to claim the fastest car. Even though there isn't anything really interesting on my road.

Although fastest on a track, that would be a different matter wink

Yes, though admittedly there isn't much competition.

Not even close. I have an s3 so not a slow car, but the faster neighbours cars would be two M5s, M4, X3M, 850i, and a Mustang 5.0. Clearly the performance car drivers in my street have a preference for BMW and not even a single RS or AMG model

Edit: Forgot about a Range Rover SVR, but it barely seems to get moved these days as you always hear it when it drives past

There’s a white Peugeot van around here it has Paris area plates is LHD and carries a set of ladders on the roof. I’ve never seen anything go quicker, it’s awesome.

I am collecting a BMW M140i next week and I believe that it will be the fastest car on my road (several dozen houses too). This is a title I don't think I have ever owned before, one of my neighbours had a very highly tuned Mk6 Golf R, which I'm sure held the crown for a few years, however he's moved now. There is a Mustang V8 nearby but he lives in a side street (and the 140 may be quicker anyway, the numbers look pretty close), there was an A45 but haven't seen it in about a year so assume he's gone too.

It got me thinking, do you own the fastest car on your road/street/Countryside Estate? If not, what beats you? If so, what's your nearest competition?
I do, although definitely not the most expensive or desirable (there’s a 1955 Porsche Speedster a couple of doors down, and a couple of modified Range Rovers).

Quite a small culdesac, so my E92 M3 easily takes bhp honours, with honorable credit to my neighbour with his mint DC2 integra. If the challenge were a time attack around Cadwell Park over 10 laps, I could see the honda coping better with the beating

Not much competition on my road so even my octavia vRS estate wins the prize. When I whip out the 911 turbo the curtains start twitching, especially with the loud exhaust.

My S4 is not even close to being the swiftest on my road - it's up against an AMG C63 Black, Lambo Aventador, 2 M4s and a Vantage S, for starters.

Up until recently I was joint with a neighbour, who had a V12 DB7, and I had an E92 M3; but my M3 has now gone.
I'm probably still up there, as I have 150. Most of the cars are Fiestas/Astras etc.

Seems such a waste with a 40 mph top speed limit.

I took my Griff over there once on holiday for a week, so frustrating. I felt like all I was doing was posing all week paperbag

The fastest car in our close is a Focus STi. The average age in our close is about 70 smile

I reckon out of 20 or so houses that I’ve probably got the slowest car on the street. It’s the loudest as well.

My mapped A7 plays second fiddle to Mr Jag across the road, (wife has names for all the neighbours).
How ever, Mr Jag sold his Jag ages ago, when I had a Vectra, and has now had an R8 for the last year.
It's very nice, I'm not jealous. Hmmm.
Anyway he moved in September and the new neighbours have a Transit Van and a Cleo.
So yes I am.
Finally, for now!
