Do we mean in top-speed terms, acceleration, or track times?

I think my 0-100 in 5.4 is generally going to remain the best acceleration in the street for a bit.

My Range Rover does OK for something so heavy, probably doing it in a little under 10.

Fastest to 100? Yes by miles.

Highest top end? No chance. I think even the daily would give the fun car a run for its money.

My neighbour has about 7 bikes though, but I’d still fancy my chances to 100!

Yes until the recent arrival of an M4.

Most cars you see day to day are humdrum, my Cupra is probably on paper faster than majority of cars I see most of the time. (I don't drive that much) cool

Something I have never even considered actually, but yes I do! My S2000 is the fastest, but there is not much competition. The closest would be a mk8 Fiesta ST. Apart from that I think even my Civic 1.6 diesel would take 3rd place, such is the competition.

The guy over the road has an M3 saloon. Lovely looking car, but it sounds as though the exhaust is about to fall off.

My cul-de-sac is inhabited by retirees generally using mobility scooters or shanks pony.
I'm the king of the castle with any of my mundane fleet of daily sheds...

On my road i will be third fastest when my new car turns up some time in Jan, one guy has a Porsche 911 gts (not sure of exact model year but would be 18 plate). Another has an M5 comp.

I have the best sounding.

That's infinitely more important.
Mine is the only V8 in the street so could probably claim that one.
Same, apart from a diesel range rover and let's hope we're not counting those.

In the kingdom of the blind, the owner of the 2.0 VAG TDI is King in my lane as my Octavia VRS probably takes it, though my wife's Giulietta is about equal.

The 'competition' down our lane is:

2010 Merc A Class
2011 Polo TDI 90bhp
2013 Fiat 500
2014 Skoda Citigo
2019 Skoda Fabia 1.0
2014 Honda Jazz
2008 Honda Jazz
2004 Nissan Almera
2015 Skoda Yeti

It's like the starting grid from the first race in Gran Turismo career mode - only missing a Yaris and Daihatsu Move.

Fastest cars on street by a huge margin (670 & 507bhp).

Wouldn’t surprise me if fastest cars in our small village as most residents are OAPs with Skoda Yetis. There could be something tucked away, but nothing exciting to my knowledge.

In our block (31 flats) I think my wife wins with her M135i, my S2 Exige is up there somewhere but is dependent on what we're racing around - track I'd be close between the Lotus and the M135i but we'd walk the neighbours, roll on acceleration/top speed there may be a little competition to the Exige from:

D300 Land Rover Velar
Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0 petrol
S1 Elise 111
2.5 Alfa 156 estate

Yeah maybe I should have moved to a posher street (full of Skoda Yetis) instead of buying the BMW!
