I look forward to the video of one doing 300MPH on the M20 wink
I’ve not been above 185 on UK roads, 300 seems verging on irresponsible, possibly even illegal.

Im offering a half eaten pack of Polo mints i found in my boot, a twix wrapper and a bag of fine English Toffee in return for one of these track Bugatti Bolide's plus a road car variant roadster, with free servicing for 20yrs inc unlimited tyres. I have a picture of Bugatti's blue carbon yacht on my screen now, so im sure that will guarantee that i will be first in the que, Im expecting delivery early 2022 with one billion dollar cashback.
No problem. My father was the minister for finance in my country, but due to a military coup, all of his gold taps from his 122 bathrooms were tied up in legal wranglings. If you send me a Bugatti Bolide and a cheque for one billion dollars today, this will guarantee release of the taps. The taps will be opened, you could say. In return the gold will flow. You will get gold, frankincense, myrrh, more gold (flowing) and a Bolide by return. This is a none time offer (as opposed to a one time offer) so strike whilst the.... erm... gold.. is hot. Unlike a DFS sale, this offer won't be around this weekend.
It is with great sadness i have to decline your very kind offer. But i have been given an amazing oportunity by the Great Nigerian King Iripp Uoff, he offered a 200yr old Dancing Himalayan Pink Elephant, 2 Flying Avatar Banshee dragons, and a glass off wine distilled from 1 million yr old rainwater that had dripped off the Tree Of Life. All this in return for one blank signed check and i get to keep the twix wrapper! Im totally ripping this idot off hahaha! I sent him my whole check book in return for his beauty queen daughters hand in marriage (i have seen her picture) plus i get his Whole Country and Diamond mines, im going to be rich! My next Bugatti will be covered in Diamonds, i cant believe how clever i am tbh, its just all too good to be true.

Now there's a car that would have to submit to the custard test should anyone claim ownership in years to come! What a machine.

Sorry are you saying the company that created a prototype car to break 300mph only one way and then produced a car called the same but is not able to do 300mph trustworthy.

I find Bugatti one of the most untrustworthy companies as they have never held the worlds fastest production car record as they have only done it one way and there performance figures in the real world are way off.

https://youtu.be/XRNv2yXqmaU

The Mclaren F1 was faster than the Bugatti Veyron up to 150mph but on paper the Bugatti should have just disappeared from the start.

RWD, manual NA 90’s car beating a quad turbo double clutch AWD 1000 bhp car off the line? No chance. Top Gear is an entertainment show and I don’t understand why they let the McLaren seem like it’s winning. There’s another race in Dubai that confused me too, even years ago as a child, was a SLR McLaren vs a Lamorghini Murcliago LP670 SV. The Merc was RWD, heavier with less power and it beat it. Hammond also called the SLR a hypercar.

I’d take both races with a pinch of salt

Exactly. I love the F1, it's my favourite car of all time, but not a chance it's quicker than the Veyron.

Is that definitely correct? It’s far, far lighter, and lower drag.

It is seriously down on power though. At the start it might be close but as speeds get higher I would think the Veyron has a pretty big advantage.

2.5 to 60mph vs 3.2, 0-100mph in about 5.6 vs 6.7. 4WD for the Veyron too and a better gearbox for standing starts. It is most definitely correct.

Yep, it's not even close.

McLaren F1 3.4 S 0-100 km/h, 9.4 S 0- 200 km/h, 23 S 0-300 km/h
Bugatti Veyron 2.5 S 0-100 km/h, 7.3 S 0- 200 km/h,16.7 S 0-300 km/h

3.2 0-100? That doesn’t match any figures that I’ve seen for the Veyron, I thought that it was about 4.7.

The McLaren accelerates slower, at all speeds, any video evidence showing otherwise is false.

There is no "close" in that regard.

Yes, you keep claiming this, but it’s not clear where you are getting your definitive facts from.

Power to weight favours the McLaren, and the video above bears this out.

You are writing as though you have experience of both, so is the diesel golf that you list some sort of inside joke that I’m just not getting?

And driving a Skoda you’re probably sick of them.

I don’t actually drive the Tesla any more, the Range Rover, Mercedes and McLaren have taken over nowadays.
