1240kg is pretty darn impressive, as far as I can tell a Chiron is basically 2000kg. Quite a diet!

Ourageous, over the top, insane. I am into driving experience rather than absolute numbers. MX5/GT86 over Golf R for example.

But this, this I absolutely love. The horsepower doesn't even impress me that much, Japanese tuners have been making this kind of power for a longer time (albeit I imagine a 2JZ wearing quicker) but combined with that weight for a factory car and that wicked look...wow. Please make it. Even if it's just 5 of them.

Don't the teachers mind that an old man is getting into the school and doing that sort of thing?

Has the 310mph been verified and if so, which cacti were visible in the evidence?

Bloody Hell Bugatti now that’s what a track special looks like! Well done.

Surely this is a base car for the new Le Mans Hypercar category, even though it looks like an LMP1 refugee? Seems awfully well developed for a one-off prototype, I’m sure they’ll have a few deposits by the end of the week though.
It's not going to be a one-off. I expect it'll have 10 or so customers for track only. And then someone will make a road-legal kit for it like Lanzante did for the P1 GTR and RML did for the Aston Martin Vulcan.

It's also worded so that "nothing has changed" makes it sound like he still has such contests....

Its also mental is its doing 124-248mph in 7.6 seconds.

To put that into perspective thats about the same as a 720s from 0-124mph...
F1 cars do 0-200kph/0-124mph in 4.5 seconds with a full fuel tank. So ~4.3 when on low fuel. The same as this thing.
That's staggering. I wonder at what point the car comes with a health warning disclaimer like they have at theme park rollercoasters!?

Seriously, if you're not in good health, that sort of g might hurt you angel

Surely they have to enter this under the LeMans hypercar regs?! To go to the extent of designing and building a full car, seems fairly mental if it's a one off!

Only a F1 driver or pro drag racer would know that acceleration, it’s totally nuts.

Fun fact: with no traction control, two wheel drive and a lot of aero, an F1 car accelerates 100-200kph faster than it does 0-100. Usually about 2.1 and 2.3s respectively.

Quoting him from Instagram

‘Whether the Bugatti Bolide will go into series production, has not been decided yet but I don’t care, I want one and I’m going to send them a deposit just in case’

Just cannot fathom the amount of money he has, he claims to be a millionaire but surely he’s more of a billionaire. My Forza garage doesn’t look like his and they gift you cars for free and I played it for months

My thoughts exactly, no matter how quick you get a heavy car going round a track the toll it takes on fuel, brakes, tyres and heat in the drivetrain creates a huge problem relative to lighter cars.

Which brings me to F1, active aero would significantly reduce the fuel requirements as you wouldn't be dragging wings through the high speed straights. Surely a good thing for the sports green credentials.
? it weighs 1240kg, it's really not a heavy car

my c43 merc is 1800kg and has 1490 less bhp
