People are utterly mental. And st drivers. I got bored of doing lane 1-3-1 to get past some outer lane morons so gently glided past in l2. No drama except said van magically sped up and passenger started filming frantically.

What do they do with the videos?’

I had a couple in a Mini do that to me. They were sat in the middle lane alternating between 60-70 as I cruised past in an empty lane 1. The lady passenger started gesticulating wildly and filming me on her phone.

It's odd behaviour. I wonder if they were the same people who, as children, would hit another child and then as soon as they realise that you may well whack them back, start threatening to tell.
Having once tried to report someone for forcing Mrs D onto the central reservation (scary) with the offer of dashcam video, and finding the police interest to be zero as they didn't collide (only because Mrs D stood in the brakes and steered onto the central reservation), I'm pretty sure that offering phone video to the police, where you go nuts at a bemused motorist who is driving normally won't end up with said motorist worried about dropping the soap.

The video will probably end up in one of those daft "Bad driving" channels on the YouTube, the ones that show "bad" driving which absolutely isn't, but it gets the clicks

Or the "reels" which appear on FB and Instagram are the worst for this, cropped "road rage" videos with half a story. Thankfully that st doesn't spread so easily on forums.

Temporary traffic lights at roadworks turn to red and the traffic stops and waits, but cyclist doesn't think it applies to him, sails past and continues against the now oncoming traffic, squeezing between them and a full height wall, a few vehicles in and there's a truck and no room, no pavement to jig onto either, truck has to stop, cyclist has to cross in front of the truck, lift his bike over the barriers and then clamber over the roadworks and through the workers and the digger. I hope he felt an embarrassed tt.

The must be first to the stairs tts have returned to the tube trains.

Even though there are still empty seats and clear standing areas where you could freely wave your arms about, they still want to stand like a statue right next to the opening in the double doors for six stops.

Tonight I had a Fiesta sat so close to the back of my car I could only see bonnet, I was just going with the flow of traffic, but had extended the gap between me and the car in front. Then without warning a crackhead walked into the road in front of me, making me emergency brake, Fiesta had to swerve to not rear end me, must have been inches from an accident, crackhead then gives a barrage of abuse having nearly caused an accident, followed by some weird crackhead dance in the middle of the road. What amazed me is as soon as the crackhead finished it's crackhead dance and we started driving again, the Fiesta immediately attached itself to the back of my car just as close as before, no lesson learnt.

I nominate the advertising genius who thought up the current Sell your car the Motorway way advert.
Am I the only one thinking this is right at the top of the cringe worthy league together with the likes of the Shake and Vac ad?

Something similar yesterday morning, temporary lights, there seemed to be some cycle event on, a few cyclists didn't think that the red light was meant for them, infront of me was a massive waste mangement lorry which stank, it proceeded on the green, then encountered 3 cyclists who had to stop and wedge right up against the curb as the lorry went through, they didn't look too comfortable, at the third cyclist the lorry gave a long blast of its horn, the look on the cyclists face was priceless as it must have been bloody loud for her.

job done, you have remembered the ad and what service they are providing so the job is done, unless it puts you off using the company out of annoyance at the advert that is!

Apparently you don't. This is the 'correct way'......

Not me I hasten too add. I don't 'do' that kind of thing. I pay to get things done properly.

This p155 poor effort is being as a favour for someone.

Frankly it is pathetic but what would I, & professionals know?

It's tiling where you start in the middle to ensure you have evenly sized end pieces... Is the fence person trying to use a tile cutter on the fence panels by any chance? Could be an interesting result...

No, the Shake and Vac advert is epic.

Stroppy bint in an Audi TT this afternoon... Current model TT with the cheapest, most desperate personal plate (one of those Norn Iron ones with three letters and four numbers) - so in my mental damnation of her I can only assume she tells people she bought it new but it's an older year.

There I was, cruising in L2 of the A1 on a two-lane section, me doing 70 and overtaking some slower traffic. There she is, a short distance in front doing 65, also overtaking slower traffic. We clear the traffic, there's no more traffic in sight, but she stays sat in L2 at 65mph, so I caught her up. After 30 seconds or so I flashed her. She then indicated and moved left. That should be the end of it. But no.

I think she was one of those people who drives without paying attention, then gets angry when someone wakes her up. So as I drew level she was flipping me the bird and angrily shouting SOMETHING at me (seriously love, you've got your window up, I've got my window up and we're doing motorway speeds. I can't hear you). Stupidly, instead of ignoring it I lifted off and gave her my best Kenneth Williams "Oooooh, matron!" face.

That seemed to flip her bh switch into overdrive, she went apoplectic, gave me the "slow down" hand gesture and started routing around on her passenger side for something.

Not wanting to find myself drawn any further into her silliness, I cruised off and at a sensible distance moved into L1. Shortly after she was tailgating me and filming me with her phone, then aggressively swerving out to L2 to overtake, then aggressively swerving back into L1 and off at the next sliproad.

It was all very odd. I have the mental image of her showing her husband or the police the video of a sedately-driven old saloon and insisting that some speed-crazed maniac is driving, whilst she tailgates and veers from lane to lane.
I had a somewhat similar incident recently with a female driver getting upset about merging in turn with the expectation that because her front was at my rear 1/4 i should somehow give way to her. I could see her filming and me on her phone in my rear view so I stopped and asked what her problem was - she went apoplectic because I had "cut her up and had no right to do that" I told her to go home and read the highway code.

She must have made complaint because a few days later I had a note through the door to ring a policeman, when I did he asked me for my version of events which I gave him, and then asked if he would be prosecuting her for using her phone, after all she had sent him the evidence (he told me he had the photos) - he claimed not to know it was against the law and when I gave him the details verbatim (had them on the screen before I called) he then decided it wouldn't be in the public interest to prosecute her...

The two bell ends racing down Spark Hill high street really stood out yesterday. Despite being late ish on a Sunday night there were loads of people about. They must have been doing the best part of 60 as they past us. dheads.

The lady who failed to slow to 30 as she entered our village, nearly hitting my car today cheesed me off after she nearly hit me and then stated gobbing off at me.

Sparkhill....let me guess, either Golfs or Audi S3s, or a mixture of the two?

(I worked near there for several years, and EVERY time I saw a badly driven or heftily speeding car it was one of those.)

People who go to Screwfix, Eurocarparts, Toolstation etc and don't know what they actually want/need.

They always seem to visit when it's busy, then stand at the counter gawping at some item they've made the staff fetch from stock, trying to work out what it actually is, while the queue grows. Knobs.

When you go to a proper trade merchant then they often have retired plumbers/mechanics etc who can advise, but Screwfix is B&Q's brand for people who don't need to browse. And if you go to a proper merchant at a busy time wanting them to design your whole heating system for you they'll tell you to come back later.

Buy the item, inspect it at your leisure and bring it back if it's wrong.

(Written whilst two of these clueless knobs stand at the counter of Screwfix gawping at stuff... 10 of us in the queue now.)
