Speaking of Maserati, allow me to up the ante. This vehicle is currently on sale at a local specialist:

It's the screeching contrast between the strangely tasteful body color and the red wheels that does it for me.
It looks like a polo https://pin.it/2bWCwBi

My goodness, it does look like a Polo. That is so charming.

But Polos don't spin their wheels in fifth gear when the turbo suddenly remembers to boost.

Rover 800 Coupe.
I bought an ex Police Rover 827 coupe. It had 75k on the clock
London car unmarked. Firearm safe bolt holes in the boot!
I put 75k on it in 3 years. Not one single problem. Honda engine.
I actually saw it on TV driving into some lags car in London. Just before shooting him.
Reg. Was L??? GUL
I never knew it had had a new wing on.

A good few years ago (I'm 30 now) I really fancied having a Morris Minor as a daily.

I opted for a Polo instead and still running it to this day.

Wouldn't say no to the MM though in the future.

And for some reason, a Rover 827 Fastback...

I’ve considered a Nissan Cube.

Apparently you can get a carpet for the dashboard and these are known by certain owners as Cube pubes.

Excellent list. Need to add c6 to my list too. I go past one a few times a week that is basically spotless, tempted to pop a note on it.

You must enjoy getting expensive repair bills, usually relating to bad electrics...

Matra Bagheera. I'm strangely drawn. For reasons that make little sense. Perhaps because a McLaren F1 is just out of reach, and the Matra is an easier in financially for 3 seats in a row.

Mk1 Scirocco GTI. Not bizarre enough perhaps, just hard to find now.

Bond Bug.

Toyota Blade Master G. An Auris with a 3.5 Lexus 6 pot, sleeper looks and arguably the barmiest name of any car I've heard of. What's not to like.

There will be someone somewhere in VAG licking circles Who will have done an engine swap and it will be impossible to drive with inappropriate levels of torque through the front wheels.

I don't think i have any Bizarre leanings towards a strange car, other than wanting to drive a rally spec 3 door cosworth on a gravel stage rally, and have someone else pay for the inevitable damage.

Here is mine smile
Spent 3 years looking for a good one, even looked in Japan. Finally found this beauty in the UK.
I absolutely love this car, by most objective measures it’s absolutely crap but I just don’t care.
Just under 60K miles and virtually mint. It’s an utter unicorn.

I've had a yearning for a Moggie for years. Never driven one though so that might change my mind if I do!

If I get one (which I may well) I'll pay a bit more and get a restored one from Charlie Ware's in Bath unless I find a minter locally.

I can't explain my strange yearnings for the Avantime

I came here to say this! I have a weird infatuation with these oddities.

As an aside, I had a C5 Audi Allroad for a few years, the 2.7TT variant, which was eventually written off (bloody van drivers) - and I've always had a serious hankering for the somewhat mythical 4.2, with Recaro interior and low range box of course. To me, an outstanding proposition of a daily - to most others, an idiots choice.

The Daihatsu Wake. Preferably in 4wd and blue. Looks stupid but then so do I.

Same here, I really dig these cars like look carboard boxes on tiny wheels. I saw one at a car meet, guy gave it the full ricer treatment minus the camber mod, I really liked it and hated myself for feeling that way. laugh
