Looks like you’re in for a great result rejn; 6 bags already and as many days still to run; the car is wonderful so best of luck with the sale.

I did also spot the E38 750i on CC. Honest ad and looks a decent big bus:

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1998-bmw-750i

Thanks dscam. That 750i looks lovely. I’m not sure bidding on that would do my family life much good but it’s tempting!!

It's a shed. Nice dent in the OSR wing above the bumper line. How's your MoT tester with body rot within X cms of seatbelt mounting points? It's rotten through the front of the rear wheel arches above the cill. I suppose you could gouge it out and fill the hole with aluminium mesh and filler. They also go along the rear of the rear wheel arches in that crud catching lip above the rear bumper. The same model of accords go there too, which is a shame as I quite fancied the 2.2 VTEC model of that Accord.
If I had it then it would be filler and paint. At £875 it’s pretty much disposable...

Whatever we think about the CC team and their business (and I have similar thoughts to others) they do seem to be quite good at selling cars. I’m not convinced an eBay ad would have got the same response.
You might be right. Don't under-estimate the effects of getting it discussed here too. Whilst those that post are - generally - a bunch of impoverished loony misfits, there are plenty of lurking stalkers with nothing to say but plenty to spend.

Have we had this rather nice looking Saab 9-5 yet?

https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/11138854?
That's a great ad with some fantastic pics.

According to the seller, it has a single left rear heated seat - a Saab quirk for chauffeured cars. I never knew that.
Does look good. Aside from big tax there's not a lot to dislike.

I believe both rear seats are heated, there's just a single switch for both. Not sure what the blank is for.

Never gelled with 9-5 or the long since deified 9000 yet I find both strangely enticing now. These can be had for pennies but I would venture to say that one looks worth its admission price.

Though I don't think I could ever bring myself to buy a car through collecting cars, I also saw this one while having a nosey at t'other one.

This is what I mean by an old Merc. Love it.

Proper job..

Side marker lights and square rear number plate make it look like a US market car with Euro lights and a km/h speedo though strange that it's a manual if that's the case.

How about more pov 80's Stalag chic. Full expensive climate control option however. And yes, that's a 4 speed manual amongst the velour...

Love that. Poverty spec sometimes best loved I have found...

That ad definitely rings a bell....the pictures did and then the bit about his own workshop and the single rear heated seat. (It's possible I need to get out more).

And here it is...sold on 14th February. Not sure if that link will work as it's from my ended list.

Epic work Mondayo. Essence of thread right there.

I've no idea why you or anybody else would want to 'dispose' of £875 by giving it to the vendor of that car for that particular car. The redeeming features are it has some Honda bits and has an MoT. And the mudflaps.

Perhaps the battle scars give it a distressed look, but it distresses me just looking at it.

I'm also reminded that CAR Magazine apologised for raving about the 600 when they first came out admitting that with hindsight that they were wrong.

Have you read the advert? bks about the sat-nav not working - passenger seat and rear headrest not working and the engine is misfiring...

No thank you - there are plenty of fully working V12 750's with fully functional seats.

This comment deserves more recognition (and greater application to things like VW Eos)

I would posit that nobody sells a car with a misfire unless all the easy things to fix it have failed, ergo that 750iL is fked

Poverty spec seats too. My 728i has full comfort seats, that has boggo standard.

Hadn’t spotted the front end damage paperbag. As for the cash for even the cheapest shed I reckon each months worth of MOT is worth £50.

This rather ratty S211 E500 is back and I noticed that a couple of failed purchases have prompted him/her/they into a more detailed description.

Not an iL which I am amazed by - CC's description is slightly inaccurate 18/19 inch staggered alloys they are all 18's it's just the width that is staggered

Confused by the Sat Nav comment about it being defunct
