Hadn’t spotted the front end damage paperbag. As for the cash for even the cheapest shed I reckon each months worth of MOT is worth £50.
I agree with your man maths of an MoT being possibly worth £50 per month. That 600 is sub-shed. That's banger territory.

Looks like you’re in for a great result rejn; 6 bags already and as many days still to run; the car is wonderful so best of luck with the sale.

I did also spot the E38 750i on CC. Honest ad and looks a decent big bus:

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1998-bmw-750i

Thanks dscam. That 750i looks lovely. I’m not sure bidding on that would do my family life much good but it’s tempting!!
Not an iL which I am amazed by - CC's description is slightly inaccurate 18/19 inch staggered alloys they are all 18's it's just the width that is staggered

Confused by the Sat Nav comment about it being defunct
I quickly read through the verbiage and couldn't see mention of the fuel tank not leaking. I saw the bit about the brake fluid spillage on a front wing.

Ok, here we go. Full werthers, carb fed, manual 4 speed, keep fit window, no air con, phase 1 so clock instead of rev counter for the entry level, and....still double thread!!

Sorry but whenever I see those chrome wheel arch trims I just know there will be a horror story underneath

The wheelarch rust is probably held together by bits of bodywork.

This rather ratty S211 E500 is back and I noticed that a couple of failed purchases have prompted him/her/they into a more detailed description.

He's been trying to flog that for ages. Think it was on the W211 FB group initially and he was after £4k.

Sounds like it needs a pair of rear airbags and an SBC pump for starters.
Looks like a money pit

Yep, it's a shed and he knows it needs a decent four-figure sum spent on it

^^^ The mind boggles. I dread to think.

On the subject of mags, does anybody else here read The Road Rat? I am coming to the view that it is the best car magazine available these days. I have actually read it and for more than ten minutes. Issue 6 was particularly good.

I use issue one as a coffee table tome. It is so well made it seems a shame to open it and wear it out...

Somewhat sadly I have an extensive collection of car mags: every issue of Car since the first in Sept 1962; every issue of Evo and Octane; and Supercar Classics. I keep subscribing to Car and Evo even though they are ste. I gave up on Mercedes Enthusiast as rubbish; but I do have all of the Mercedes-Benz Classic mags. The Petrolicious magazine was expensive but good but they have stopped producing it; Magneto is pretty thin despite being very fat. The Japanese Blackbird magazine was admirable but seems to have ground to a halt. Here's a picture of some of them.

Indeed: very real and beautifully so.

I’ve got the first three. You’ve reminded me I should get back into them.

I’m amazed it’s up to that level so quickly.

Whatever we think about the CC team and their business (and I have similar thoughts to others) they do seem to be quite good at selling cars. I’m not convinced an eBay ad would have got the same response.
Well done for keeping a straight face and a controlled tongue to the “what make is your tow bar?” question.

They’re out there!

I have every issue of 'Fast Lane', not sure if anyone remembers that one? It had some good writers and was edited by Peter Dron.

I remember Fast Lane well. One of my favourites features an Alpina B12 (E32) and a Mercedes 300 CE 6.0 AMG. There’s a nice story about taking a then-new E32 750i up to John O’Groats, too. Back then the writing used to be readable.

I’ve got pretty much every issue of Performance Car, too.

I have a pristine issue of Supercar in which H Metcalfe collects his Maserati from the factory in Italy. Yours if you want it.

Do you want it? Eh? Eh?
