Yes but one/he is dealing with a 'technician' who's been handed the dirty end of a bog plunger and has to do the job. He's fked off because it will cost him bonus so he rushes it back together with less than 75% diligence. End result, customer pissed off and job not done.

My franchise experience is only Vauxhall and Chrysler Jeep, but it's the same story over and over. Crappy book time to do the job = st result.

Edit to add: In Sytner's defence, for its MB dealership here I have nothing but pleasant vibes but I am only buying parts from time-to-time.

My aunty bought an S212 from Sytner MB Swindon and she says it's been very good, but then she hasn't had cause to test its customer service as the car has been faultless.

I've been into BMW in Chesterfield a few times....tried to buy a brand new X5 off them twice and had to go to Sheffield both times instead, as they couldn't put a price/quote together.

In not really related news. I had to buy a new ABS ring and the absolute cheapest place to get one was the MB main dealer.....£13. Ordered and collected all within an hour.
(The slightly related bit is that I got it from MB Chesterfield)

I think that's why CDG posted it, as it's very similar to what he's ordered.....

JOB had issue with a squeaking fan and a broken rear wiper.
Apparently it was unfixable....but is now back up for sale.

I love Messing. I walked past a Messing hued 1 Series last year. Shame the shade was somewhat undone by it having quite a dent in a front wing.

There is and always be a buyer...

It might be too expensive for you or what you think; but that colour itself is rare enough and it will appeal to someone easy enough...

The decent E46s and E39s are now starting to climb in price again

Seems toppy because it needs front suspension work and rear brakes doing!

I like the colour and the interior (though I think a darker wood trim would be even better).

*grumble* auto box *grumble* no heated seats *grumble*

Am I right in thinking the window tints are not factory? The retrofit ICE system looks neatly done tbf.

But it is a lovely colour, and the interior isn't like the inside of a coal bunker at midnight.....
Shame it isn't a 5 series, I just can't see how a BMW 3 is a barge, when a Merc C class isn't.

Nothing makes sense anymore. It's the new normal apparently.

Anyway, high tax, over thread and old. But these late 9-3's with fancy bits are good looking little dog carriers.

Our barge thread is now the bargain thread.

Does anyone buy these big engined Passats? Estate. Can't decide if these seats look comfy or rock hard!

How about a nigh-on 300bhp snotter for dog duties?
It would get you to the park and back pretty damned sharp.

My wee Maltese terrier loves going fast, but only in a straight line. Go round the bends too fast and it's whitey-time.
This could be the perfect wagen!

Actually, maybe not.

Half of the "I'm going to the tip" statement usually implies some sort of man's work is involved - the specialised variety that needs extra time and care.

Getting back from the tip - sorry, the Municipal Household Recycling Centre of Excellence - in less than half an hour in your nigh-on 300bhp snotter will inevitably lead to a longer list of weekend chores prescribed for you in future.

This is quite tempting in a "this is quite tempting but I'm not going to buy it" way.
Not exactly unusual on these pages, in that respect.

It's certainly ripe for a sanding down/angle grinding, 16 rattle-cans of Halfords Primer followed by some of that rustypaint finish.

I like it!

A mate of mine has a W8 estate which goes really well. Very anonymous looking. Front seats are fine for comfort. Does like to drink fuel though.

The V6's and W8 have a left field appeal I think. As in e W8 is very lefty and I like the idea of one but I'm sure it'd disappoint.
The V6 would be ok at a tip car I think but then the thought of an older DSG box would be a worry. They're big and spacious though.

I quite like the idea of an R36 but they're much more shouty....and fast.

I've been to the tip once in the last three years. Buying a car just for tip runs seems fabulously extravagant.
