What's that app?!
It's called Vehicle Smart.

All sorts of interesting analysis of MOT and mileage data!

Lovely BH weekend run down to the South Downs (ironically not far from whence she came). She’s running smoothly, despite being 36 years old the suspension puts anything else I’ve ever driven (including my LS400) to shame. Jaguar independent rear suspension takes the credit here - painful to sort (like air suspension) when it goes wrong but oh so perfect when it’s right.

Lovely. I’m trying and failing to keep up with the thread. I take it that wasn’t purchased within thread limits. Would love one - have you done a Readers Rides thread?

IIRC it was circa £3k.
Looks better than it is in photos I think.

Showing a distinct lack of application there old fruit. 1/10, must try harder.

Well, today I completed a thread purchase, so thought I would share it with you all. I believe it will count despite having fairly firm suspension...

It is a 530i with the N52 engine and a few nice options like comfort seats and Xenon lights

I have only driven it the 25-30 miles home so far, but it drives great and I have a good feel for the car and from the previous owner on here.

Seconded (both to the nice car and also to the reader's thread).

I do like an E60 touring. I think they look better than the saloon.

I’ve bought and sold a few of these before becoming a one brand man. They are great cars, too many have fallen into the wrong hands but this one looks spot on.

Thanks for the kind words all, I have been using an Audi A2 1.4tdi for the past few months and it has got too much.

I agree, BMW’s do all tend to go through a period of being owned by wronguns.

Pleasure meeting up with you today and I'm pleased that the car stayed 'in thread'.

I might have to wait until both kids have learnt to drive before I can get another barge, but I'll live vicariously through the thread until then!

Bath, Shirley?

Looks lovely but would be even lovelier with ginger.

And yes - gingers FTW every time. This car is '93 so I've always assumed it had non-ginger from new. If I was keeping it, I'd be tempted to change it.
As a rule of thumb, integrated grill with body coloured edge - non gingers. Pre facelift with the separate larger grill - gingers

Seems OK...
Aye, apart from the bodywork damage on both sides. Maybe the PO had a narrow garage or summit.

Commiserations, old (baked) bean - shame you weren't able to cope with the awesomeness of the A2.
Just taxed mine again for the year - £30 - and can't remember the last time I put fuel in it. It just keeps going.

Many congrats on the new purchase smile

Shame it's not Spanish. Wonder if the boot is in good nick (assuming these can be affected like the M3?)?
