It'll never sell at that price though. It's a 3m wheelbase, and a 5m overall length, so about the same as a recent 5 series.
I like it. Handsome and not too shouty. I wouldn't pay 20 of my own thousands, but I'd probably pay 10.
I imagine CdeG that 10k might not be too long a wait.
It's only done 6,000 miles in five years!
What a strange one. Rear armrest of pleasure too.

Who the hell would realistically drop £20k on that, rather than a 3 year newer 520d?

Personally I'd rather set fire to my own face than own a two litre diesel BMW of any form.

Anyway, here's an S280 W140 in need of front wings which they say they can get done for a ton a side at £4k.

Two things, chaps:

- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/333989559875. No due diligence done, of course.

- It's a 38% day at Autodoc today.

Rare to see a green W220. Wheels would have to be changed for me.

Correct link without the full-stop: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/333989559875

The app is even cheaper, water pump £83 or £73 on the app, result.

Something just seems a bit fishy. 2009 MOT with no mileage available and things going wrong you might not expect at such low miles.

I wouldn't pay £20k for one, but I wouldn't be seen dead in a diesel.

All the uninspiring.

Here's another one....for those of you that were thinking "I like the price, I just don't fancy driving from Girvan to buy it"

Same colours, same price.

Agree. Up to about £15k I reckon that Genesis would be a really good buy; you just know it will be eminently reliable whilst at the same time never once raising your pulse.

To my eyes they’ve made a good copy of the BMW dash layout AND added in the luxo-clock like you’d find in an S-Class. No green digital fella in this range-topper!

Cayenne GTS for a shade over the thread at £5300. A bit of haggling should get it to thread max.

Sadly not a GTS, just an old 4.5 with some new plastic. Although I don't think that's a seller I'd want to buy from regardless.
Not one for this thread. Writing on the boot, shots at night of the chavved up after market leds. Black alloys. No gravel drive.

It's cars like this that give the Cayenne a bad reputation. I currently have a high mileage 2003 Turbo and find it quite nice (although it is black, black and black wheels, but that was the previous owners doing). However, this one just screams "walk away". The non turbo 4.5 engine is famous for bore score (rendering the car scrap) and all the 'chav' mods just make it totally unappealing. Maybe closer to 1.5k you could buy it to say you've owned a Porsche, but then quickly strip it and sell it for parts. Really feel sorry for the car. However, if you really did want to keep it, then it could end up being a great wallet drainer, like that 745i E65.
Sorry, rant over.

Here's another example of a well kept Cayenne with black alloys (current owner's choice)

129k is a bit fruity on a 9-5 Aero estate at mid thread, but manual and not silver.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/2021050120...

A monkey more for 30k less, dull silver though.

That's really nice.

Want.
I wouldn't touch a D2 with someone else's thingy, never mind my own.
Yes if it's fitted with ACE they handle great. Not Comfortable great, just not fall over at the first corner great. The interior is more austin allegro than jag, boot space is actually crap in the 7 seat versions, they are slow and thirsty and they rust like you wouldn't believe. V8 can easily give single figure mpg too. Or go td5 and watch glaciers go faster and still only do low 20mpg and suffer diesel-dick vibrations.
Woeful cars. Wife loved hers, I hated fixing it. My defender was more reliable and I did offoad competitions in that once a month bouncing it off rocks and through bogs as well as daily driving it......
If anyone - ANYONE - Considers a D2 as a barge, give your head a wobble and go look at a p38 rangie. That would be more reliable, less rusty and actually drive nice in comparison

Yes, I saw that, an interesting thread. That car is lovely (even if 4x4s are not your thing).
However, the "thing" for sale for sale is ridiculous (gts badge, strange writing, neons, bumper from a newer model) and its mileage has been adjusted (according to the MOT history). The asking price is silly too.

Is it normal to have the vents either side of the screen like that.....as in one is one way up and then the other has been flipped?!

The more I look at it, the greater the zoomorphic effect of this, too. I see a panda.

Interesting design, but they're not flipped though, as both open/close dials are at the bottom, otherwise it would be at the top on the left.

Mk1 or Mk2? I’ve just gone cross eyed trying.
