I’m umm-ing and ahh-ing; the face mask thing is a bit of a turn off I must admit but it’s not till June so who knows what the craic will be by then. If it’s a go-er I’ll either be in an intra-thread Lexus with international credentials or an intra-thread 190LE. Probably with the little one too, I’d imagine.
Bicester Scramble looks interesting but I'm not wearing a facemask outdoors (by then, my increasingly revolting face mask will be 11 months' old: looking at it just now, it cannot be healthy). Anyway, for those who like to rob houses, we shall be enjoying the last day of my holidays. Although I see you can fly in...
Bumping this as JPvanRossem has mentioned it on the horrible rust buckets meet thread. I've got tickets for Sunday 6th.
I have a ticket for Sunday but I am in two minds. It's the mask-wearing outside which puts me off. I have until 29 May to request a refund if I choose, though it's only £15 to lose.
I think as time moves on it's unlikely to be much of an enforcement issue for visitors or organisers alike. I hope I'm right, but it only takes a small scene to leave a bad taste. It's their event I suppose but outdoors it seems ott.

I absolutely love that, I almost bought one but went for the Jag instead and looking back it is a major regret as going Japanese with my cars has given me more joy than anything else I've owned.

Whoever posted the S-Type, it's a petrol so the engine should be better than the Satan-fuelled one, as it's a pre-facelift the NVH won't be as good as the later ones iirc.

That is a lovely looking Honda; never owned a Legend, but know that V6 well and it's a silky smooth engine... Bit of a slush box though IIRC

Much prefer the styling of the coupe but both are rare now. I think that would be a lovely thing to potter about in.

That's a good looking car, although it seemed very bland at the time it is now positively refreshing to see such a calm design. Good proportions too, and the wing height above the wheel is low which always looks cool.

Anyone going to an event which requires a mask outdoors needs their head checking, IMO.
It’s almost impossible to prove they’re anything more than a placebo indoors, never mind their ‘worth’ outdoor.

That is fantastic. When did they start looking so good?

I hadn't realised everyone's lives were being so severely affected by wearing a thin flexible mask. Its not ideal, but if it's a concern at the moment then you might want to reassess your priorities.

For anyone who hasn't been, it's worth a visit, not least to see the airfield and its array of original buildings (and the excellent job they are doing with the new ones, too)

They always looked great IMO. Loved them as a kid, especially the coupe. Something of an understated, nerdy cool about them now.

Perhaps yours isn’t.
That’s your choice.
If you choose to blindly do as you’re the told by the state, that’s also your choice.

What shouldn’t be your choice is mandating others to do the same.

They're running the event, they can choose how they want people to behave, I just think that complaining and feeling put out by such a small thing seems absurd.

It's funny how it becomes about sticking it to the man and resisting a government exerting unnecessary control when it's such inconsequential stuff that makes little difference either way. Vive la révolution.

Edited because tobinen has spotted a contradiction.

The Bicester website says:

We ask that face masks are worn at all times, apart from when consuming food and drinks.

The Eventbrite website (which sells the tickets) says:

Face masks are recommend to be worn but all attendees, but not mandatory for outdoor events.
