I was getting some coolant over the weekend and I saw this excellent umbrella in the parts department.

I don't know if it's considered naff but I quite liked it, it may also be down to the browness of the fabric scratchchin

£30 odd though.
No.
Not naff? excellent. thumbup

I rarely sell cars - they tend to reach the point where it's easier to part them out for spares than sell them complete
Yep, keep 'em and run them 'til they stop, then sell what's left as spares/repair/junk/scrap.

Oh and with regards to the GR, Harry says that the UK suspension upgrade by Litchfield is well worth it.
If that's Lansdown Cresent in Bath you're parked right in front of the flat Mrs A and I lived in before we moved to Germany smile

If you do, let me know and I'd happily meet up in whatever shonk-mobile classic I have the most faith in on the day.

The beer museum is upstairs, though sadly no samples so eminently avoidable! If you like pub signs and beer glasses you'll love it...

ETA - apparently Bitburg has a nice friendly meet of a decent size. A pal that lives there will let me know if it's going to be on and when, and I'll go if I can. I'll mention it here and it might be something you consider?

It’s the next one down - Royal Crescent. If I had the money I’d choose to live in Lansdowne Crescent though. Less tourists and great views.

That must be second best (DKR which is a term that I learned on our PC-Fridays), but not the car of my childhood cloud9

That's right, Adenauer, it's Royal Crescent. This must've been where the mistress lived hehe

Shed or Barge? £1,600, it could be a steal for a mechanically competent bargeiste

As competent and well made as these may be, they just have no "look back" factor for me. Even in the grandest of W12 spec. In fact, apart from maybe the Sirocco or Passat CC, I can't think of any modern Volkswagen that does.

Come to think of it, I can't really think of any Volkswagen that has enough of the aforementioned factor to make me actually want one.

Likely to go well above thread but the fact that it's a prefacelift 500 in blue/black with cream leather appeals....

If I didn't live in the ULEZ I'd seriously consider switching my S211 for that psychedelic Volvo. Brilliantly mad colours.

That's exactly what I was talking about, I love that interior buuuuut it appears the photos have had some filter applied to enhance the colour - I suspect in real life they are not as impressive. And it's on collecting cars - their suggestion that it should prove to be reliable is laughable, as they have no idea - it's been 10 years since "the owner thinks" the cambelt was changed and it's a very old, high power Volvo with an autobox.

Tempted but you'd have to go in with your eye wide open on a Jap import with unknown history.
