I had been seeing a few Range Rovers recently in their 'Byron Blue' colour, which caught me off guard as they are generally not a car im very bothered about but I have to say, in the low evening sun, they looked absolutely stunning.

So, wanted to make a thread about your favourite automotive car colours? Can be anything from history, mundane to the exotic, but lets say it has to be a paint colour and not make this a livery thread, no liveries allowed!

I like that blue OP.

My favourite colour I've owned was my Ginger GT86. Scion/Toyota US called it Hot Lava. Toyota UK called it orange.

Not dark grey is a good start.

Reds are good; I've always fancied a nice British Racing Green, but there's not many cars that you can get it on where it suits the character of the car without going all the way up to Lotus / AM / Bentley territory.

Im really into the super unusual colours, so anything BMW individual/Audi exclusive etc thats not just black/white/silver...

Particular fan of BMW Lila Metallic though, really want to get my R53 resprayed that colour if I ever have enough money lying around

Always liked the pale metallic silver blues used on Jags over the years....

If I had to pick one colour it would be the Bahama Yellow on the 'Persuaders' DBS....

I'm a massive fan of the 90's Porsche colours, on cars from that era they just look so cool..

Rubystone / Ruby Star:

Mint Green:

Most darker shades of green too, solid or metallic. Ruf have made great use of some shades:

Not too fussed, but the usual silver / grey / black / dark blue / white that everything seems to be in these days just reflects everybody's mood at the moment: dull and bored.

What really does it for me though is the hateful combination of any of the above with boring interiors: black / grey leather. If I have to have a dull exterior colour I want a bright interior. If I can have a colourful exterior I'm happy with a dull interior.

That said, cars can be colour-dependant: I saw a white (new shape) Supra at lunchtime and it looked ace. I also saw about 300 BMWs, Audis, Mercedes and VWs in dull colours and can't remember anything about any of them.

Rosso Competizione a la...

Blaze Yellow really suited late 90s Pug hot hatces (306 AND 106)

Bianco Nuvola really suited the 147 GTA yet looked hideous on the 156 GTA

Blu Chiaro really suited some big Ferrari (whereas red looked hideous on the 400)

Always been a fan of Inferno which was a colour RenaultSport offered on the Megane 225 and more rarely on the Clio 182. Was replaced on the later RS Meganes with Liquid Yellow which is another great colour.

BMW's Le Mans Blue. I had an E90 in that colour and it's always been my favourite. They've not made a blue as good since.
