Surely the even extra 30mm of ride height offered by the 'Off-Road package' is next to useless for actually driving off road, unless the most severe terrain the car encounters is driving on a nice smooth gravel track?

Though that I doubt that would trouble a regular Taycan anyway.
Don't suppose it makes a massive difference but it'll mean you can mount the curb outside school a little easier... I guess they can't jack it up any meaningful amount without raising the centre of gravity of that big battery.
It probably raises up to protect the HV powertrain from stone pecking...

Like it. This would be the Taycan that I'd choose.

This is the kind of differentiation over Tesla that will win Porsche sales, even if the range isn't as good.

I have a Taycan somewhere on a Porsche wagon making it's way to the UK right now and, er, I think I agree... doh!

"Looks good, doesn't it? "

Is that a trick question?

Disappointing. The off road pack looks cheap as do the gloss wheel arch trims. The new wheel styles don't suit it also.

If I do jump from the Tesla at some point it would still be the saloon for me, will be interesting what Audi do with it though?

Love it, not in white though.

Lol, but not as bad as me reading Autocar and trying to expand an image by pinching it like I am on my Ipad/Phone !

Interesting pricing - the base version of this looks good value next to the Taycan 4S given that it comes with 4wd and bigger battery. No doubt the extras are eye-wateringly expensive but this will surely hold its value well. Was a bit put off by one article that says the boot space is about the same as a Golf hatch. Oh, and my wife has forbidden me from ever getting a Porsche so probably not for me

I’m often baffled as to why they’re aren’t any estate EVs. I would have thought they’d be snapped up by people - myself included. I keep my ICE cars for fun and an estate for family lugging services. I suspect I wouldn’t be the only one.

It's probably because most people like SUVs, estates aren't very popular anymore.

1) estate cars aren't a thing in the US or Japan so they weren't developed by the initial OEMs (Nissan, Tesla)

2) European OEMs are now going full steam ahead but BEVs are completely supply constrained. There just isn't enough cells to go around so you put what you can source in to the most profitable products - SUVs/CUVs.

Might just be me having a senior moment - but cannot find a single picture of one of this car's biggest differentiator over it's saloon sibling... the interior of it's boot!! (sorry, trunk for those on the other side of the pond)

Anyone found one???

This goes into the next car purchase list, interesting comparison though. Decent specced one of these or a V8 Defender...?

Agree. It’s fking annoying. Also details of that mountain bike rack (they can keep their own brand e-bike, I’d break it in a weekend) too.

As I say annoying but am still considering putting in an order...
