isnt it the time of year when you start to see a steady stream of interesting GT metal come on tap for sale?

theres barely a handful of non RS cars on PH - whats going on? Are they all going through auction sites these days instead?

It's hard to sell privately due to COVID (you still can't test-drive), dealers have just reopened and the weather has been cold.

I'd expect it to pick-up feom now and through the summer.

It's the quiet before the storm as the 992 GT3 will be landing shortly and I think people are just waiting to see what effect it will have on previous model prices, if any !!

^ I agree, I reckon everyone is just waiting to see what happens when the new car comes out. Although anyone that 'needs' to sell now will be selling now obviously

Test drives are/were a bit of a grey area. My M2 sold privately within a day of advertising it - the chap who bought it never test drove it, but I let the garage doing the inspection report test drive as they were doing a PPI for the buyer. No issues, went through without fuss

The buyer financed the car privately which was an eye opener for me, I thought you could only finance a car through a dealer and that private buyers only bought with cash, but that's not the case anymore

Interesting. There’s no way I’d let people test drive any car I was selling privately. If someone wants a GT3 they don’t need a test drive?

I wouldn't let a buyer test drive my GT3, unless I knew them personally and not without me onboard. If a legit PPI garage wanted to do a test drive then I'd let them (likewise, with me in the passenger seat)

There will only be a couple of cars per OPC and even those may be delayed due to jit supply problems. Most cars won't be here until next year.

Porsche just put the price up by over £4k too so the car is now over 15% dearer than the 991.2 so the net effect is that all GT3s are selling fast and rising prices £ reflect strong demand across all generation cars.

Only 3 991.2 GT3s in the UK OPC network incl 1 manual at £145k these have risen some £20k in the last few weeks as expected and further rises are inevitable as the best cars sell fast track season approaches and better Spring weather arrives.

Why would someone put the potenzas on instead of the cups?

Price - Cheaper than an MPS4S as well... But they're N rated.

305/30/19 (Rear)

Potenza RE050A (N1): £183
MPS4S (Not N Rated): £221
Cups (N0): £299

PDK GT3 has just come up on OPC for 145K, 17 model. These cars will be on SOR and a pain in the ass to deal with from past experience. No doubt a 10k cut going to the dealer.

I've been watching both 991.2gt3 and 991.2gt3rs prices for that last few months, .2rs prices seemed to have jumped up as far as I'm concerned for cars with >8k miles and for the .2gt3 there seems to be around a £10k premium for cars...My own opinion is that as soon as things start moving they will slowly fine their "real and realistic" values.

Recall I paid around £132k in Jan 2020 for my ex 991.2gt3 pdk with 4k miles, low owners and good spec. same cars now with "asking price" of in excess of £140k !...are folk really paying that ?

I want the guys that are looking to buy 991.2 gt3`s getting into them at sub £130k and those wanting to get into 991.2gt3rs in them for £165k .....we`ll see what the next few months brings out anyhow...

Either way the 991.2gt3 is a fantastic car and ticks most boxes and was a game changer with an engine to die for..

Enjoy !

I'm sure clogs would be less expensive than Usain Bolt's gold Puma's.

PDK the best hehe

Use it as a daily too. 991.2 GT3 with it is awesome, bit of traffic, so what, in auto, happy days.

Still think I would go for it too in a 992.

I can understand why someone would want a more road focused tyre on their car. My GT3 has MPS 4S on it. I don't want to get caught out in a downpour on a motorway after a very scary experience with a 996 GT3 and some R888 tyres !

If I was dairying mine I think I would probably have PS4S as a daily...had a couple of issues in downpours in mine. I now have Cup2’s on my “summer wheels” and PS4S on my “winters”

I've been keeping an eye on 991.1 GT3 for sale.

3 of them I had bookmarked before things opened up all sold across monday/tuesday this week. now they're less than 100k it seems a good deal, considering the 10 yr engine warranty & ability to extend.

I'd love one if could afford it!

They are. Made sure of that because I have Cup 2 Connect’s on my other wheels and wanted a set of N Rated tyres in case of warranty claim.
