Good point, think I would too. Whilst it may be churlish to bring up fuel economy, I can’t imagine there wouldn’t be a time where you’d wish for just a teeny bit more than 12mpg if on a long journey.
If you have deep enough pockets to buy and run one of these (and suffer the depreciation if bought new), 12 mpg probably not going to bother you too much. Even more so when the average, annual mileage is low.
Actually it does bother you a little on long trips - esp on the autobahn where you have to stop every 250-350km depending on speed. Not necessarily cost, although that is rather painful, but also stopping frequency.

Precisely, I imagine it would be a right ball ache.

Worse than a ball ache, you find yourself passing the same cars, lorries and bikes, again, and again, and sometimes again..

The sad thing about this car is that it seems unusably Borky, the 612 (recent brave pill) seems a far safer way to put your finances at risk. A shame, as they are fantastic in the flesh in dark colours, and will barely depreciate and further, before they begin to appreciate inexorably

I think these look great and a rare sight.
Not in Cheshire they aren't. I remember seeing two red ones in one day once around ten years ago. I loved living around there for car spotting for sure. Where I am now I can go months without seeing a nice car!

Great Article and it hits alot of points to why its faster but at the end of the day its a £180k+ car and the servicing and upkeep costs would be reflected, love to see these cars getting driven but I think this could lead someone to believe maintaining one is to the same level as a 335d

I do love these, except for the vaaaaaaast distance between the F and R axle (wheels) when you look at them side on in the flesh. Once seen i couldn't unsee it...........

Any kind of positive endorsement from that fat greasy idiot would have me running in the opposite direction. Another desperate wannabe Top Gear presenter.
Pretty sure he's not aiming for Top Gear, but seeing as one of Top Gears current presenters once had an FF that they dailied and said good tings about, maybe he's actually be onto something...

That exact car appeared behind me on the A12 near Colchester on Saturday. Wonderful thing, specially in that colour. And the noise - Oh dear lord cloud9

Agreed, a Ferrari for the price of 2 Golfs is pretty good.

That’s true. We used to live in Switzerland and drove back to the U.K. frequently. However nice the FF is, for such long journeys our diesel 3 or 5 series were so much better. Only needed to stop for petrol once and they were really comfortable cruising on the French toll roads. Speed was not limited by the car but by desire not to get pulled by the gendarmerie.

I think we got down to under 12 hours, door to door, from Hertfordshire to Canton Schwyz (including the Ferry).

I care not, he's still a little fat man with an overblown sense of importance. On YouTube.

The two permanently slipping clutch packs on each of the front wheels...... on a 700hp Ferrari, surely these must be treated as expensive consumables on this car?

The scope for huge bills makes an Aston Martin Rapide a relatively sensible option if 4 seats and 12 cylinders are critical

Always though the FF was the weakest of the line up in that time. Eclipsed by the F12 in design terms but it does look better in Silver. Then again, four up with that engine is unlikely to disappoint. Would likely take a Rapide though.

If you don't like his opinion you don't like his opinion, but if the first thing you do every time is attack is appearance, maybe you should just say nothing at all and go take a long look at yourself, pal.

Good thinking, he can then picture what YouTube man might look like with a good appearance?

Give it a rest you two, or you'll BOTH need to find another thread to post on.

NO MORE WARNINGS.
