You don't see saloon cars with a centre mounted stop light situated higher up than the rear lights on the car? Really?
Yes, rilly.

As for you, do you see them?

I daresay most people on here either have, or had, some addition to their car that someone else wouldn't approve of. I know my car definately does laugh
Back in the late 90's, my first car (Ford Orion 1.4 Ghia) was adorned with the very best in "Oakley" flouro sticker taking up the entire back window, even got a "bad to the bone" decal across the top of the windscreen.....I was classy then! smile

You lot are a proper judgemental load of tossers who are really starting to make me question why I frequent PH. It used to be full of people who would appreciate that whatever you did to your car you did it because you loved your car, no matter what changes it was.

Now it seems to be that unless it’s an approved change then you’re marked as a throbber.

Stop it you aholes.

Just blushed as I’ve remembered a Playboy bunny sticker on a 1600E I bought.
The terrible thing is I didn’t take it off.

But to be fair to all concerned it was 1979, so qualified as classy.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and, if you don’t like or agree with the way a thread/conversation or a unfolding you can either express your feelings or, return to the homepage and disappear down another rabbit hole.

I’ve frequented these forums for a good number of years now. Been here longer than some, not so long as others. By my own admission I’ve probably not contributed a great deal, but always try to add to a thread in a positive fashion (queue some geek searching my post history to find a derogatory comment). As I started reading this particular conversation I laughed at a few of the jibes and at some of the ‘tat’. But then, just as ThunderSpook has alluded to, the tone follows that of an all too familiar rhetoric whereby a select group of unelected superior beings become judge, jury, and bestower of label.

All humour pretty much exists at the expense of an individual or group of people. And that’s fine.

However, there can be no denying of the fact that, over the years good banter and sarcasm has been widely replaced with a whole heap of pretentious whining.

So while I now bask safely in the knowledge that I’ve likely contradicted myself, put up a target to which I’ll be shot… those that disagree can go fk themselves 👍

A simple, "I agree (or disagree)" would have sufficed. wink

I agree. With both Thunderspook and Mr Ben, for the avoidance of doubt. This place truly is infested with people who really shouldn't believe everything they think.

Yes me too. A lot of disgruntled, bitter and irrational posters. Not buying a used car because the badge is the wrong colour? C'mon, it doesn't indicate anything about the condition of the car, they're probably £20 to replace. And even then, insulting someone because they changed the colour of the badge? Really????

For the avoidance of doubt, I believe that one man's 'tat' is another man's 'treasure'.

My friend's wife has an X5 with a Batman stick-on badge over the top of its faded BMW roundel.

Only real thing that's been mentioned I dislike is the eyelash things. The rest of it is fair enough, even if I reckon it looks rubbish.

Unlike wind deflectors, 4D plates, M badges etc, It's not done by people who care about cars, it's done by women who think it's cool or unique. And they still treat their car purely as white goods or worse.

And before anyone thinks I'm being sexist, any overtly masculine ste that looks as ugly as that on a car I would dislike also, although I can't think of any... maybe the bollcks that you can hang off the rear of the car? hehe

My son when he got his plate for his car, he got a thing that has a sort of take on the nineties "Intel Inside" sticker PCs came with if they were blessed with a Pentium, rather than an AMD or even a Cyrix (Eww)

It says "Turbo Inside", I did question as to his sanity four years ago and he now admits its a bit st, but its there until he gets round to transferring his number off my car.

Its a moot point as a 50 year old in a noisy, dogs cock red boy racer special Fiesta biggrin

Only other affectation is a massive intercooler with "AIRTEK*" written in on it, can hardly see it though as its red on black.

Bonnet bras deserve an honourable mention but they’re popularity appears to be dwindling.
They are a poor copy of the Lambo Miura eye lashes.
