Gangster types love German whips. It makes them look sofisticayted. Think Merc has more of an "upmarket" image than BMW
Lots of C63's round my way as well, SE London. Plenty blacked out Range Rovers as well.

In east/central Manchester where I frequent, it seems to be
VW Golf R
Audi S3
Audi RS3
BMW M135i
BMW M140i
BMW M2 Competition
Mercedes C43
Mercedes C63
BMW M5 Competition
Range Rover SVR
Driven by all the rude boys, wannabe gangstas and drug dealers
Of course all running pops and bangs remaps
Innit (just so!)!VW Golf R

S3 wins the award for the most recklessly driven car in an urban area - pop pop screech screech
Two types of irritant vehicles round here:
John Deere or Fendt tractors hammering through the village well above the speed limit for 18+ hours a day. Got to live farmers - different rules for them in all areas of life.
911s - most people (even the Ferrari owners) seem to be able to drive sensibly. Maybe the 911s are owned by the above farmers.
Not much sign of gangsterism round here, I have to say.

Can't seem to pin it down to any particular car at the moment (it's usually somewhat modified Golfs, Astras and Focuses)
They all seem to have a colour variant of this "stealth" sticker at the moment though - it's not a brand I'm aware of. Then again, I probably wouldn't expect to be given the sorts of cars I see with them and the people driving them.
My favourite is an absolutely beaten up Ford Fusion - it's so bad that I'm pretty sure it's intentionally being smashed up.

Just had the pleasure of hearing a mapped Golf R going past, noisy exhaust and pops / bangs.
Weapon of choice in Ipswich seems to be E46 BMW's with tints and noisy turbo, lowered on alloys and driven by Eastern European gentlemen, obviously gainfully employed and assets to society. Various Audis, the occasional 140 and one or two poppy and bangy M2's, with an honourable mention going to the chavved up Lexus I saw today complete with stick on bonnet vents and large tow hook on the rear.
Oddly my Blobeye Impreza is now viewed as a semi classic I think (it's standard), so no longer am I considered to be one of the baseball wearing hat mob, although I'm over 50 as well so never really fell into the demographic anyway.
I like the Impreza becoming respectable. Trouble is when it’s time to replace it, I want one if the above.Weapon of choice in Ipswich seems to be E46 BMW's with tints and noisy turbo, lowered on alloys and driven by Eastern European gentlemen, obviously gainfully employed and assets to society. In south London the roadmen tend to lease Merc A-classes.I’ve seen a few in C63s too, so its not just a NW London thing.
This is all a product of dirt cheap money. Even a council estate rat can afford £400 a month in car payments, particularly when their rent is paid for by tax payers, and their illegal side hustles are cash in hand.
Living in London really changes your perspective of cars. Nobody bats an eyelid at what would be impressive cars, because of the sorts that buy them here.

We're yet to hear Mayor Khan's strategic policy on tackling this phenomenon.
