It seems everywhere else is okay just not a few bits of NW England.

Andy Burnhams not happy about it, he’s been on the Andrew Marr show this morning calling wee Jimmy Krankie a hypocrite.

If travel to the rest of the UK is ok I just cannot see the mechanism for it to be enforced. Can anybody explain? Will English police stop cars with Scottish plates that are seen in the area and send them back home? Will cars with Manchester plates be stopped at the border? Are they going to confiscate your phone and download the data? What is the penalty for ignoring the ban...

Hypoctrite indeed considering Scotland has complained about the UK Government doing exactly this sort of thing to Scotland. Nice to see they are doing things differently.

North East ? Last time I checked Manchester (and Lancashire - Blackburn is also on the travel ban) was in the North West.

Has somebody moved them ?

Can they do that? (Genuinely don’t know). And what if you go somewhere else in between.

How does that even work?

"Have you been to Salford or Manchester?"

"No"

Then what?

"Restrictions, not permitted, prohibited" are the words used.
That suggests to me that legislation will be enacted.
If there is no legislation then crack on.

Laws passed on Thursday and nobody told Manchester for 24 hours. Very neighbourly.

They do realise Manchester is slightly outside their domain don't they?

Another pointless stupid idea from the SNP.

Like the lower drink drive limit, minimum alcohol price all promised to make massive difference. How are them getting on again?
I know the drink driving one as made no difference just criminalized loads of people and inevitably destroyed people's lively hoods.
